What people love about Pacific Tours
- Galápagos Multisport
Incredible Galápagos 10 day Multisport trip!! It left to/from Quito and was the experience of a lifetime. Blanca our guide was so informative and fun.
- Galápagos Adventure: Snorkelling & Sea Lions
Great tour. I fell in love with Galapagos!
- Best of Galapagos
The guide was fantastic and although some of the acomodation was basic it was adequate, and didn't go to the galapagos to sit in my room!! We didn't stop and the title active galapagos is very apt, all included meals are least two courses, more often three - even breakfast. Would recommend!!!

When is the best time to visit the Pacific Ocean's Galapagos Islands?
The Galapagos Islands welcome visitors throughout the year with December to May emerging as the prime season for water activities. During these months water temperatures reach their warmest point and the seas remain notably calm making it perfect for underwater exploration. Guest reviews consistently point to this period for optimal wildlife encounters with one TourRadar traveler noting "The weather was pretty good and we saw a lot of animals. They were not afraid of us and were protected by people." Properties like the Casa Marita Hotel Boutique on Isabela Island tend to fill quickly during this peak season.
What are the must-visit islands and locations in the Pacific Ocean region?
The Galapagos archipelago offers several essential stops. Santa Cruz Island houses the renowned Charles Darwin Research Station while Española Island stands out for its wildlife concentrations. The active Sierra Negra volcano dominates Isabela Island's landscape. Easter Island's cultural highlights include the ceremonial grounds of Orongo Village the dramatic Rano Kau volcano and Anakena Beach where ancient Moai stand guard. San Cristóbal's Kicker Rock has become synonymous with marine life viewing. As one traveler observed: "The variety of landscapes across the islands was incredible - from volcanic formations at Sullivan Bay to white sand beaches at Gardner Bay."
What type of accommodation can I expect during Pacific Ocean tours?
The Galapagos accommodation scene spans from boutique hotels to yacht-based stays. Land options like the Casa Marita Hotel Boutique and Ikala Hotel offer four-star comforts complete with ocean vistas. According to guest feedback "The hotels selected were high end hotels (4*) with buffet breakfast rooms and ambiance were perfect." Standard amenities across most properties include en-suite facilities climate control and morning meal service.
What are the snorkeling and diving opportunities in the Pacific Ocean destinations?
The Galapagos waters present some of the Pacific's most diverse marine environments. Devil's Crown off Floreana Island draws snorkelers seeking tropical fish and sharks while Kicker Rock has become known for hammerhead sightings and sea turtle encounters. Gardner Bay offers reliable sea lion interactions. Tour operators typically provide all necessary equipment. One visitor's experience captures it well: "The snorkeling at Corona del Diablo was incredible - we saw rays reef sharks and countless tropical fish in crystal clear waters."
How much does a typical Pacific Ocean tour cost?
Galapagos tour prices range significantly based on duration and services. A 5-day exploration starts at USD 1431 while 8-day cruise experiences reach USD 4379. These rates generally cover lodging guided excursions select meals and inter-island transport. Additional expenses include the Galapagos park fee (USD 200) transit cards (USD 20) and optional activities. One traveler noted: "The tour overall was great value though there are additional fees to consider like the Isabela dock fee of USD 10."
What's the best way to travel between Pacific Ocean islands in the Galapagos?
Inter-island transportation in the Galapagos relies on speedboats and small planes. The Santa Cruz to Isabela route takes approximately 2 hours by sea while air transfers between San Cristóbal and Baltra require 30-35 minutes. According to visitor experiences "The boat transfers between islands seemed rough at times but the flights were a comfortable alternative." Most itineraries combine both methods to balance time efficiency and travel experience.
