What people love about Rainforest Tours
- 4 Days Amazon Lodge Cuyabeno Reserve
Such an incredible experience, cannot thank the staff enough for being so amazing and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone!
- Family Costa Rica Rainforest and Wildlife Adventure
It is a wonderful trip but I would suggest spend a bit less time doing the city trips and a bit more time at the wildlife areas as they were the star and the city trips were much less interesting.
- Puerto Maldonado Amazon Field Station 3D/2N (from Puerto Maldonado)
Our Stay in the eco Lodge was awesome. Everything was very well organised and our guide for the 2 days Oscar was amazing. Super friendly and knowledgable.
What our customers ask about Rainforest Tours & Trips
Which Rainforests Have the Most Amazing Wildlife?
The Amazon is just incredible for wildlife you've got these amazing pink river dolphins and giant otters especially around Peru's Tambopata Reserve where you can paddle around Sandoval Lake. Costa Rica's forests are perfect if you're into birds you'll see toucans quetzals and if you're lucky some sloths just hanging out in the trees. Tortuguero National Park's got this amazing network of canals where you might spot Howler and Spider Monkeys plus about 370 different kinds of birds. Now Madagascar that's something totally different you've got lemurs chameleons and these fascinating amphibians you won't see anywhere else. At Ranomafana Park which they actually created after finding the golden bamboo lemur you could spot up to 12 different lemur species and more than 115 types of birds.
What Are Some Cool Different Ways to Experience the Rainforest?
You could try a multi-day trek with camping it really lets you sink into the rainforest experience like that Madagascar Wilderness Trek where you'll climb the highest peak in the south. In Ecuador's Cuyabeno Reserve you can learn to make cassava bread with the local Tarapuy community which is pretty special. Or get up into the canopy on those walkways like the one at Puerto Maldonado Amazon Field Station in Peru it's 1129 feet of award-winning views right up in the treetops they even got a PURE Award for being high emotion but low impact.
Should I Go Budget or Luxury for My Rainforest Tour?
Budget tours usually mean you're sharing spaces in basic eco-lodges with communal facilities like the 5 Days Amazon Lodge tour at Cuyabeno Reserve where Nicky Lodge gives you this really welcoming vibe with decent rooms and great food. If you're thinking luxury you're looking at private bungalows or those fancy river cruises where everything's more exclusive. Costa RicEco Rainforest Adventure does luxury really well you stay at this amazing eco-hotel with a spa right in the middle of a reserve with five waterfalls. It really comes down to what makes you comfortable and how much privacy you want.
