What people love about River Cruise Tours in Portugal and Spain
- Douro Experience 2026
We did not realize that we were the only passengers speaking English as their first language
- Porto, the Douro valley (Portugal) and Salamanca (Spain) (port-to-port cruise)
Really appreciated the combination of cruising and hiking, plus excursions for non-hikers so they weren't neglected. Accommodated food needs creatively, although the gluten-free option - while better than previous experience with CroisiEurope - could still be improved. More gluten-free chocolate croissants! Nice selection of evening entertainment. Never a dull moment; but one was able just to sit and read or watch the scenery go by if wanted. Although we choose CroisiEurope partly for the French immersion experience, being paired with other English speakers at meals worked very well. Our American compatriots were grateful to have English-speaking companions, and for us it relieved the intensity that would have been entailed by full French immersion. Thanks for organizing perfect weather! ;-)
