We sincerely thank Mango Vacations for our trip (multivan, 4 persons, 7 days, 2024 November, rout Bandaranaike - Pinnawala - Dambulla - Sigiria - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Udawalawe - Mirissa - Galle - Hikkaduwa). Thanks Nadeeka who not only has arranged the trip according to our request but gave us some important advice and necessary corrections. Thanks our guys - Pavi (who was responsible for driving) and Thili (who coordinated all our activities). Because of them our trip was safe, pleasant and rich. Good job with reasonable price! Sensational Sri Lanka was a great twelve day whirlwind introduction to the island. Starting in Negombo, just north of Colombo, we went to Anuradhapura via Wilipattu national park, Jaffna, Trincomalee, Batticalao, Kandy and Colombo. We were a small group of 6 and mainly travelled by private minibus. To get a more local experience, there were also trips by train and public bus and a bicycle tournof Anauradhapura. Hotels were all of good standard with en suite, air con and fan. Breakfasts were extensive. Bala, the guide, was excellent and helped us to have a wonderful experience. His English was excellent and he made the long drives go quickly by telling us about history, politics, the economy, religion and the marriage system. Highlights of the tour were seeing leopards in the national park (included); snorkelling round pigeon island where we saw a myriad fish, beautiful coral and a grenback turtle (an optional extra but well worth doing); visiting a coconut plantation and seeing how it really is a tree of life; tea plantation and factory; the food; beach at Trincomalee; sunsets; beautiful mountains. My only criticism is that we had a slight overdose of temples. Also, Colombo roads are so congested we spent a lot of time going to places which were not very exciting e.g. The parliament building. I would rather have just spent the time shopping. But these points are minor. Overall a great holiday.

We are so impressed with Mango Vacations. Right from the beginning, the owner Nadeeka was helpful and proactive - he was very prompt in responding to us, and arranged for us to extend our trip by a few days. During the tour, we had some difficulties with hotels but Nadeeka and our guide, Vishwa, went to great lengths to sort things out and book us into much more comfortable places. Vishwa was incredibly friendly, attentive, patient, and adaptable. He made sure to accommodate our every need - whether it be food requests, itinerary changes, or dealing with unexpected emergencies. We learnt a lot about Sri Lankan history and culture from Vishwa. I highly recommend Mango Vacations and Vishwa to anyone considering travelling around Sri Lanka.
