10 Days in Argentina, incl. Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls
The 10-day tour covers 3 major destinations: 4 nights in Buenos Aires visiting Plaza de Mayo, 2 nights at Iguazu Falls admiring Devil's Throat, and 3 nights in Bariloche exploring Cerro Tronador and Lake Nahuel Huapi.
- Days 1-2
Buenos Aires
Land in Argentina's capital and check into your hotel in central Buenos Aires. Book an early flight to make the most of your first day. Your first evening includes a traditional Argentine dinner where you'll learn to make empanadas and sample local dishes. A recent visitor shared: "The cooking class was intimate and fun - we learned to properly seal empanadas while sipping Malbec."
- Days 3-4
Iguazu Falls
Take an early morning flight to Iguazu to avoid Buenos Aires traffic. Start with the Brazilian side for the best full views of the falls. Remember your passport and note that US/Canadian travelers need an eVisa from April 2025. The next day, explore the Argentine side on the Devil's Throat Circuit and Lower Circuit walkways. Bring a light raincoat and waterproof phone case because you'll get wet on the lower walkways.
- Days 5-7
Bariloche
Fly to Bariloche through Buenos Aires. This beautiful Patagonian town sits among lakes and mountains. Take a half-day tour including the Cerro Campanario chairlift for amazing views. Spend one full day at Cerro Tronador, the highest peak in Nahuel Huapi National Park at 11,362 feet. Make sure to visit the black glacier at its base.
- Days 8-10
Buenos Aires
10 Days in Argentina, incl. Buenos Aires and Patagonia
A rich 10-day tour includes 2 nights in Buenos Aires, 2 at Iguazú Falls, 2 in Ushuaia at Altos de Ushuaia Hotel, and 3 nights in El Calafate near Perito Moreno Glacier. Tours of Tierra del Fuego National Park and Los Glaciares included.
- Days 1-2
Buenos Aires
Kick off your trip in Argentina's lively capital. Visit the colorful La Boca neighborhood early in the morning for the best photo opportunities. Take a guided city tour to see Plaza de Mayo, walk San Telmo's cobblestone streets and visit Recoleta Cemetery. One traveler shared: "We saw many of Argentina's highlights with excellent guides who were fluent in both Spanish and English, making every stop spectacular and memorable."
- Days 3-4
Iguazú Falls
Catch an early flight to Iguazú (note the 15kg luggage limit on domestic flights). Visit both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of the falls. Start on the Argentine side's Lower Path for up-close views. The next morning head to Devil's Throat walkway early before the crowds show up. The Lower Path stretches 1,200 meters with many stairs so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
- Days 5-6
Ushuaia
Head to the southernmost city in the world. Set aside half a day to hike through Tierra del Fuego National Park's scenic trails. Pack warm clothes since temperatures stay cool even in summer. A recent visitor noted: "The breathtaking landscapes of Tierra del Fuego were unforgettable - just watch for sudden weather changes and dress in layers."
- Days 7-9
El Calafate & Los Glaciares National Park
Spend three days exploring Patagonia's glaciers. Make Perito Moreno Glacier your priority and plan a full day visit. Get there early to beat the tour buses. The 85km drive from El Calafate offers beautiful mountain views. Use your extra day to check out the town or take a boat tour. Book afternoon flights to avoid morning fog delays.
- Day 10
Return to Buenos Aires
10 Day Argentina Itinerary, incl. Buenos Aires and Patagonia
Buenos Aires' tango scene starts this 10-day Argentina tour, leading to Ushuaia's penguin colonies. Includes 9 nights in 4-5 star hotels, visits to Perito Moreno Glacier and both sides of Iguazu Falls, with daily breakfast and selected dinners.
- Days 1-2
Buenos Aires
Begin your trip in Argentina's exciting capital. Visit Recoleta Cemetery early at 8 AM before the crowds arrive. Check out the vibrant La Boca area but stay within the tourist-friendly Caminito section. One visitor shared: "The tango show at El Querandi was incredible, but book the 8:30 PM show rather than the later one if you're jet-lagged."
- Days 3-4
Ushuaia
Fly 3.5 hours to the southernmost city in the world. Bring plenty of warm clothes since weather can change quickly. Visit Tierra del Fuego National Park early for the best visibility. A Beagle Channel boat ride takes 4 hours. Sit on the left side to see sea lions. If you want to see Magellanic penguins at Estancia Harberton, plan your visit between March and October.
- Days 5-6
El Calafate & Perito Moreno
Take a quick 1.5-hour flight to glacier territory. Get to Perito Moreno Glacier when the park opens at 8 AM for better photos and smaller crowds. Wear shoes with good grip on the viewing platforms. The boat ride gives you an excellent close-up view of the glacier but bring waterproof clothing for ice splash.
- Days 7-8
Iguazu Falls
You'll need to connect through Buenos Aires with about 5 hours total flight time. Start with the Argentine side which needs more walking but gets you closer to the falls. Visit Devil's Throat early to avoid crowds. Sort out your Brazilian side border crossing papers a day ahead. A recent visitor noted: "The Brazilian side offers the best panoramic views, but bring a waterproof case for your phone – the spray from Devil's Throat is intense!"
- Days 9-10
Buenos Aires
What people love about 10 day Argentina tours
- 10 -Days of Unforgettable Exploration in Argentina
We were able to see many of Argentina's highlights with this tour. Every stop on this tour is spectacular and very memorable. It is a shared service so all tours were in Spanish and English. The guides were excellent, but had to juggle both languages for the guests. Even though this tour was pieced together to accommodate what we wanted to see, everything worked and we were always notified of when our transfers would be, scheduled tours would be taking place, and drivers were always waiting. Very good attention to details. This company went above and beyond when my husband's cell phone fell out of his pocket in the van on an early morning transfer. I thought it would be lost, but the driver found it, the company arranged for it to be taken to Buenos Aires and the next driver delivered it!! Now that is service!!
- Classic Antarctica - 10 days
Excellent service, great communication and friendly staff. Thank you!
- The End of the World + El Chalten (9 Nights)
A good/ very good tour. Some spectacular scenery. Very weather dependent. We were lucky on the whole. Torres del Paine was the only bad day, when it rained and was really windy. Our contact with HiTravel whilst we were on tour was Stefania. She is terrific and couldn't do enough for us. I would recommend this tour. You need pesos whilst on tour . Paying by debit card for national parks is expensive. Spectacular scenery. Lucky enough to see dolphins and a whale in Ushuaia. Los pioneros in El Chalten was very good. Excellent breakfast. Our hotel in El Calafate was also good. Los Cormoranes in Ushuaia was not up to standard.
