3 Day Israel Itinerary, incl. Jerusalem and Dead Sea
The sacred journey spans from Jerusalem to Dead Sea shores, visiting 7 iconic sites over 3 days. Marvel at Mt. Scopus views, tour Masada fortress, and walk through Bethlehem's sacred sites. Jerusalem hotel stays, daily breakfast, and professional guides share cultural insights.
- Day 1
Jerusalem Old City & New City
Get to Mount Scopus by 8 AM to catch great morning views and avoid the midday heat and tourist crowds. The Old City walls look best in morning light. Plan about 2 hours to walk the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrows). The ancient stones can be slick so wear good shoes. "The Western Wall is incredibly moving at sunset when locals gather for evening prayers." Visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in the afternoon when you'll welcome the air conditioning. Keep in mind that children under 10 are not allowed inside because of sensitive content.
- Day 2
Bethlehem & Jericho
It takes about an hour to drive from Jerusalem to Jericho through striking desert scenery as you go below sea level. Go early before temperatures climb past 100°F (38°C). At the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, peak season lines for the grotto can stretch 2-3 hours. Consider an afternoon visit instead. "Due to crowds, visiting the actual birthplace grotto isn't guaranteed. Focus on exploring the beautiful church complex itself."
- Day 3
Masada & Dead Sea
Take the first cable car to Masada at 8 AM before it gets too hot. Bring plenty of water for the steep sections. Head to the Dead Sea by mid-morning for the best floating experience before the water gets too warm. Pack water shoes to protect against sharp salt crystals. You'll need a hat, sunscreen and towel. Stop at Qumran and Ein Gedi between sites when you need a break in the shade.
3 Day Holy Land Itinerary, incl. Jerusalem and Bethlehem
3-day spiritual journey covering 5 major cities: Amman, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron, and Mount of Olives. Visit 8 significant religious sites including Al-Aqsa Mosque and Masjed El Ibrahimi. Includes 2 nights at a Jerusalem 3-star hotel with breakfast, priced at $307 per day.
- Day 1
Amman to Jerusalem
Leave Amman early for the 1-hour drive to King Hussein/Allenby Bridge border crossing. Budget 2-3 hours for the border process. You can opt for VIP service ($170) to reduce wait times. After crossing visit MaqamNabiMousa Islamic shrine between Jerusalem and Jericho. Continue to Jerusalem's Old City to see Al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. Wear appropriate clothing - long sleeves and pants/skirts plus head coverings for women. Keep in mind Al-Aqsa has specific entry times and may close for prayers.
- Day 2
Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Hebron
Start at the Mount of Olives before 9 AM to avoid crowds. Visit Maqam Salman Al-Farisi and MaqamRabiatulAdawiyah before going into the Old City. Walk the narrow streets of Jerusalem's Old City in the morning when it's less busy. See the Al Boraq Wall (Western Wall) then drive 45 minutes to Bethlehem. When visiting the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron expect multiple security checks. As one visitor said: "The security process can be time-consuming but the spiritual experience at these holy sites makes it worthwhile."
- Day 3
Jerusalem to Amman
3 Days in Israel, incl. Jerusalem and Masada
A 3-day tour encompasses 4 iconic locations: Masada National Park's fortress, the Dead Sea's shores, Jerusalem's Old City quarters, and Bethlehem's sacred sites. Daily tours include hotel breakfast and professional guides, covering major Christian landmarks across Israel.
- Day 1
Masada and Dead Sea
Get picked up from Tel Aviv at 6:30 AM (or Jerusalem at 7:50 AM) to avoid the desert heat. The 2.5-hour drive to Masada takes you through the Judean Hills past the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Take the first cable car up around 9 AM when it's still cool. Pack at least 2 liters of water per person and a hat since the fortress has almost no shade. After exploring Masada head to the Dead Sea. It's about a 45-minute drive and best to arrive in early afternoon when the beach is quieter. Water shoes are essential since the salt crystals can hurt your feet. For the best floating experience just lean back and keep your feet up. Avoid getting the water in your eyes or submerging your head.
- Day 2
Jerusalem and Bethlehem
Start at Mount Scopus before 9 AM to catch the best morning light for photos of Jerusalem. Enter the Old City through Lions' Gate which usually has fewer crowds. Walk the Via Dolorosa's 14 stations before 10 AM to get ahead of tour groups. For the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem you'll need to dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered. Visit mid-afternoon to avoid 1-2 hour waits at the grotto of Jesus' birth when pilgrim groups are lighter.
- Day 3
Jerusalem Christian Sites
Visit Mount of Olives sites in the morning when temperatures are lower. Bring shoes with good grip for the steep downhill walk especially if it's wet. Get to the Garden of Gethsemane right when it opens at 8:30 AM for a peaceful visit. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre has long waits to see Jesus' tomb about 45-60 minutes. Your best options are at opening time (5 AM) or after 4 PM once day tourists leave.
What people love about 3 day Asia tours
- 03 Day Islamic Tour to Jerusalem & Holy Land (Islamic Tour ) (JR-JHT-010)
Excellent Tours and recommended guides . I would recommend them to all
- Petra and Wadi Rum 3-Day Tour from Jerusalem
I am not a great traveler so came without expectations. Later I tried other 'socalled' guides and became to appreciate the pofessionalism of both the organisation, of the guides and the drivers. With Abraham no language problem, no fear of the police, no extra costs ! The other fellow travelers are young, often single and tolerant towards the exceptions to that rule.
- Petra and Wadi Rum 3-Day Tour from Tel Aviv
This was a wonderful experience. Petra and Wadi Rum were even more exciting than we anticipated (Petra is big!) and visiting Gerash on the way was a great unexpected bonus. We had a fantastic guide and an extremely capable driver, and we were fortunate that only four people were on the tour. The only downside was the hotel in Petra, but we recognize that there is a limited selection.
