- Days 1-2
Bangkok & Damnoen Saduak
- Days 3-4
Chiang Mai
Visit key temples after arriving, including Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. On day 4, visit Doi Suthep Temple early at 8am before crowds and heat build up. A visitor shared: "The 306 steps up to Doi Suthep are worth every step for the view. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes as the stairs can be slippery during rainy season."
- Days 5-8
Luang Prabang
This UNESCO Heritage city in Laos is your next stop. Take part in the 5:30am alms ceremony with a shawl for the cool morning air. Visit the Royal Palace Museum and Wat Xiengthong, then boat to Pak Ou Caves. For Kuang Si waterfall, visit after 3pm when Chinese tour groups leave. You'll have time to browse the night market too.
- Days 9-11
Hanoi & Halong Bay
- Days 12-14
Hoi An & Da Nang
- Days 15-17
Ho Chi Minh City & Mekong Delta
- Days 18-21
Siem Reap & Angkor Wat
End your trip in Cambodia. You'll need two days for the Angkor Wat complex. A reviewer suggests: "Start at Pre Rup temple for sunrise instead of the crowded main temple. The lighting is just as beautiful and you'll have the place almost to yourself." Visit Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm during lunch hours (11:30am-1pm) when tour groups leave.
21 Day Indochina Itinerary, incl. Hanoi and Bangkok
A remarkable 21-day voyage through Cambodia and Vietnam's 6 major cities awaits. Angkor Wat, Halong Bay, and Cu Chi Tunnels highlight the journey. Internal flights and 4-star hotels rated 4.8/5 ensure comfort throughout.
- Days 1-2
Hanoi, Vietnam
Get started in Vietnam's capital with a city tour. Head to the Temple of Literature around 8am before the crowds show up. The Old Quarter is perfect for a cyclo tour. "The cyclo tour through the Old Quarter was fascinating - bring small bills for street food purchases and wear comfortable shoes as you'll want to hop off frequently to explore." Plan about 3-4 hours for the Water Puppet show and dinner.
- Days 3-4
Halong Bay
Take the morning drive to Halong Bay (about 3.5 hours). An overnight junk boat trip is a must. Try to get a cabin on the upper deck for better views. "The kayaking between limestone karsts was incredible, but pack water shoes as the tender boat landings can be slippery." Get up early for the best misty bay photos before breakfast.
- Days 5-6
Hoi An
After flying to Danang, it's a quick 30-minute ride to Hoi An. Walk through the ancient town early morning or evening when it's cooler. Want custom clothing? Book your tailor appointments right when you arrive. Visit My Son temples in the morning to avoid peak heat. A good tip from another traveler: "The Thu Bon river trip is lovely but bring an umbrella - there's little shade on the boats."
- Days 7-9
Ho Chi Minh City & Mekong Delta
- Days 10-11
Siem Reap, Cambodia
- Days 12-13
Phnom Penh
Take the river cruise from Siem Reap to get here. Start your day at the Royal Palace at 8am, then walk over to the Silver Pagoda. A helpful tip: "The riverside promenade is lovely at sunset but bring mosquito repellent."
- Days 14-15
Vientiane, Laos
You can walk most places here, but tuk-tuks are cheap for longer trips. See the monk alms-giving at That Luang at sunrise. Plan about 40 minutes to reach Buddha Park and visit the COPE Center on the same day. "The night market along the Mekong is perfect for dinner and local crafts."
- Days 16-17
Luang Prabang
Take your time in this UNESCO town. Visit Pak Ou caves in the morning when the river mist makes great photos. Get to Kuang Si Falls by 9am to beat the crowds. "The bear sanctuary next to the falls is a must-see but bring cash as cards aren't accepted."
- Days 18-21
Bangkok, Thailand
Finish your trip in Bangkok exploring temples and markets. Check train times before visiting the Railway Market. "For the Ayutthaya day trip, hire a guide - the historical context makes a huge difference in appreciation." If your schedule works out, spend your last day at Chatuchak Weekend Market.
21 Days in Southeast Asia, incl. Bangkok and Siem Reap
A 21-day cultural odyssey connects Ha Long Bay cruise to Angkor temples. The route includes Hoi An's Tra Que Village, Mekong Delta's canals, and Cu Chi Tunnels. Comfortable stays at Harmony Sai Gon Hotel and Amatak Boutique Siem Reap, with 20 breakfasts included.
- Days 1-4

Visit early in the morning to avoid crowds and heat.

What people love about 3 week Cambodia and Vietnam tours
- 21 Days Across Southeast Asia
I liked the tour, there were not tours at the mayor cities, like Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City (I took cities tours on the side) The small group was excellent, only two of tours guides were not good, but the rest of the tour guides were super friendly and super helpful. Only one hotel in Bangkok was not good, the rest ware good with good food. In general I will use Tourradar for future travels. Thank you.
- Indochina Tour with Bangkok Extension 21 Days
We were six friends travelling together. Tien Tran was quick to respond to my initial enquiry. He willingly puts together a package to suit our requests plus so much more. He stayed in regular contact and confirmed by email very quickly the finer details and made all the bookings. We read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to trust Bravo Indochina Tours. Our tour, the guides, drivers and the hotels all exceeded our expectations. I have no hesitation in recommending Bravo Indochina Tours and his team to anyone looking to travel in Southeast Asia. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were met, whisked away to waiting sunset boat cruise. The food and the welcome to Bangkok was "Wow". The tour continued to impress every day. Our hotels were in the best locations, all of excellent standard and comfortable. We travelled to Lopburi , Sukhothai, Chiang Mai, Lampang and so much more before flying from Bangkok to Paro. Our mini bus was air conditioned and spacious (15 seater for 6 of us). Nam, our guide was knowledgeable and flexible. I don't think we were as energetic as he was - but he adjusted to suit us. He was great and his English was very good. We were accompanied and introduced to the best sights, and taken to some lovely good quality restaurants. We had no concerns about anything and were able to relax and enjoy the experiences. We were truly looked after every moment until we were returned to the airport for our return flights. Just brilliant - thank you team of Bravo IndochinaTours! We will be back soon
- Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand 21 Days
My 3 friends and I who are from the US, we were going to travel Indochina but had no idea what to expect there, but Esther made our trip one I will never forget. The most high quality and entertaining service, Joy exceeded that of a guide and quickly became our friend going above and beyond expectations to keep us safe and make sure we enjoyed ourselves. A priceless trip. Thanks for the laughs and memories
