8 Days in the Virgin Islands, incl. St. Thomas and Virgin Gorda
A 7-night Caribbean adventure aboard Emerald Sakara showcases pristine Saint John, Virgin Gorda's famous Baths, and Norman Island's snorkeling spots. The route includes 8 distinct ports including Philipsburg's vibrant markets and Gustavia's French charm, with all-inclusive dining and premium beverages.
- Day 1
St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
Plan to arrive at St. Thomas airport before 7 PM for your yacht transfer. Book an early afternoon flight to avoid traffic around Charlotte Amalie. You'll catch beautiful evening views over the harbor. The Havensight area has several good restaurants within walking distance of most cruise docks - perfect for dinner before boarding.
- Day 2
St. John, US Virgin Islands
A short sail takes you to St. John in the morning. Visit Trunk Bay when it opens at 7 AM for the best snorkeling conditions. You'll need water shoes for the underwater snorkel trail because of sharp coral. If you're interested in hiking, take the Reef Bay Trail through the tropical forest. It's a 4-mile walk, but start before 10 AM to avoid peak sun.
- Days 3-4
Virgin Gorda & Norman Island, British Virgin Islands
Get to Virgin Gorda's Baths before 9 AM to beat the crowds at the granite boulder formations. Wear water shoes with good grip on the slippery rocks. The swim-through caves and grottoes are beautiful but might be difficult for some visitors. The Caves at Norman Island offer great snorkeling, especially in the morning's calm waters. Stop for lunch at Pirates Bight beach bar and watch the yachts in the harbor. A recent visitor shared: "The snorkeling at The Caves was incredible - we saw schools of tropical fish and even a sea turtle. Go early when the water visibility is best."
- Day 5
Anguilla & Sint Maarten
- Days 6-7
Saint Barthélemy
Your captain will arrive early in Gustavia's harbor to find good anchoring. The shopping is excellent but stores close between 12-3 PM for lunch. Shell Beach is great for swimming and you can walk there from town. Bring cash - many restaurants don't take cards, and ATMs sometimes run out during busy seasons.
- Day 8
Return to St. Thomas
The return sail to St. Thomas takes 4 hours and starts early. Book flights after 1 PM to have enough time for disembarkation and immigration. If you have extra time, visit Coral World Ocean Park near the cruise port.
8 Days Caribbean Islands, incl. Antigua and Virgin Islands
A Caribbean odyssey spans 4 nations and 5 distinct ports over 8 days. From St. John's, the route includes Barbuda's Pink Sandy Beach, Fort Napoleon in Îles des Saintes, and Norman Island's hidden coves. Emerald Azzurra provides luxury accommodation with 20 gourmet meals included.
- Day 1
St. John's, Antigua
- Day 2
Barbuda
Sail to Antigua's quieter sister island, Barbuda. Visit Pink Sand Beach in the morning before it gets too hot. Bring water shoes since the sand can get very warm in the afternoon. The Frigate Bird Sanctuary is home to one of the Caribbean's largest colonies. Visit between September and April to see the males display their bright red throat pouches.
- Day 3
Îles des Saintes, Guadeloupe
- Day 4
Deshaies, Guadeloupe
- Day 5
Gustavia, St. Barthélemy
- Day 6
Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
- Day 7
Norman Island, British Virgin Islands
- Day 8
St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands
Book your departure flight after 11 AM to have enough time for disembarkation and airport transfer. You can visit the Charlotte Amalie historic district, just 15 minutes from the port, if your schedule allows.
8 Days Caribbean Island-Hopping, incl. Antigua and British Virgin Islands
Luxury awaits on this 8-day Caribbean cruise aboard Emerald Azzurra, visiting St. John's colonial sites, Barbuda's pink beaches, and The Baths at Virgin Gorda. The sailing includes 20 gourmet meals, premium beverages, and expert-guided excursions, concluding in historic San Juan, Puerto Rico.
- Day 1
St. John's, Antigua
- Day 2
Barbuda
A quick sail takes you to Antigua's quiet sister island. The Pink Sand Beach is stunning but bring water shoes since the sand gets hot. The Frigate Bird Sanctuary is best visited early morning when the birds are most active. The beach is beautiful but has limited facilities so take water and snacks from the yacht.
- Day 3
Îles des Saintes, Guadeloupe
- Day 4
Deshaies, Guadeloupe
- Day 5
Gustavia, St. Barthélemy
- Day 6
Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
- Day 7
Norman Island, British Virgin Islands
- Day 8
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Schedule flights after 11 AM on your final day. Old San Juan is within walking distance from the port. The blue cobblestone streets make great photos but wear good shoes as they get slippery in the rain.
