  • Day 1

    Larnaca to Limassol

    Land at Larnaca International Airport and travel to Limassol, about 50 minutes away. Book a morning flight if you can. This gives you time to explore Limassol's marina area in the afternoon. The seafront promenade is perfect for an evening walk when locals and tourists gather to watch the sunset.

    Paphos Excursion

    Take the 40-minute drive to Aphrodite's Rock early in the day. Visit Paphos Archaeological Park in the morning before it gets too hot. You'll need sturdy shoes for the uneven ground at the ancient ruins. See the Tombs of the Kings before noon when sunlight creates beautiful shadows in the chambers.     Limassol and Omodos Village

    Visit Limassol Castle at opening time (9 AM) to beat the crowds. The Old Town looks beautiful in morning light. After lunch, drive 30 minutes to Omodos village in the mountains.     Kyrenia Exploration

    Get to Saint Hilarion Castle by 8:30 AM before the day heats up. The climb is steep with loose rocks, so good shoes are essential.     Famagusta and Salamis

    Start at the Ancient Ruins of Salamis first thing. You'll need 2-3 hours to see everything properly. Bring an umbrella for shade as there's little protection from the sun. In the afternoon, visit Varosha, the abandoned ghost town. Check with your guide about current photography rules.

    Nicosia Discovery

    Cross between the Greek and Turkish sides of Nicosia early. The Ledra Street crossing is usually fastest. Walk the Venetian Walls early or late in the day to avoid the heat.     Departure from Larnaca

  • Day 1

    Larnaca to Limassol

    Get started with an airport pickup in Larnaca. The drive to Limassol takes about 45 minutes on the coastal highway. Try to book a morning flight so you can explore Limassol's old town later in the day. The streets around the medieval castle are best after 4 PM when locals take their evening walks.

    Paphos Coast & Blue Lagoon

    Start your day early at Aphrodite's Rock (Petra tou Romiou) before tourist crowds arrive. You can visit the Edro III Shipwreck for photos but bring good shoes for the rocky path. Take a Blue Lagoon boat cruise (2 hours) if you're visiting between March and October. If you come during winter months, visit Paphos Archaeological Park instead but be ready for uneven ground at the mosaic sites.

    Troodos Mountains & Wine Country

    It takes about an hour to drive to Troodos from Limassol with some tight turns near the end. Visit wineries in the morning since they get crowded after 11 AM. Stop by Omodos village to see Timios Stavros Monastery right when it opens at 9 AM to catch the morning light. Remember to dress modestly for the UNESCO Church of Saint Nicholas.

    Kyrenia Region

    You'll need an hour to drive from Nicosia to Saint Hilarion Castle. Get there before 10 AM to avoid crowds and heat. The castle has lots of steep steps so bring water and wear good shoes. You can cool off at Bellapais Monastery in its Gothic cloisters. Visit Kyrenia castle in late afternoon when cruise ship tourists have left.

    Famagusta & Salamis

    Salamis is a large site. If you're short on time focus on the gymnasium, theater and baths. Bring sun protection as there's little shade. Dress appropriately to visit St. Nicolas Cathedral (now Lala Mustafa Mosque). Follow all guidelines carefully when visiting Varosha ghost town.

    Larnaca Highlights

    Walk the Finikoudes Beach promenade early before it gets hot. Take about an hour to explore the Medieval Castle. Visit Lefkara village's silver workshops after lunch. Save the UNESCO Choirokoitia site for late afternoon when it's cooler and better for photos.
