10 Days in Greece, incl. Athens and Santorini
Greek culture comes alive across 4 destinations: Athens, Mykonos, Paros, and Santorini. Guided walks illuminate each location, with 9 nights in 3-4 star hotels, ferry transfers, and 3 included dinners. Optional activities include Delos Island tour (€65) and Santorini volcano excursion (€110).
- Days 1-2
Athens
- Days 3-4
Mykonos
Take the morning ferry from Piraeus Port to Mykonos (5 hours). Spend the extra €20 for air-conditioned seating since deck seats can get uncomfortable and smoky. Stay near Little Venice to see the famous windmills right outside your door. Paradise Beach is where the parties happen but as one traveler suggests: "If you're not into heavy partying, stay in Ornos Beach area instead—more relaxed vibe but still walking distance to town."
- Days 5-6
Paros
A 30-minute ferry ride takes you to peaceful Paros. The port town of Naoussa is perfect for exploring on foot. A recent visitor noted: "Paros was unexpectedly my favorite—less touristy than Mykonos but with better beaches. Rent a quad bike to explore Kolimbithres Beach and the mountain village of Lefkes." Visit the Church of 100 Doors in Parikia first thing in the morning before it gets hot.
- Days 7-8
Santorini
Most travelers' favorite stop. Stay in Fira for a central location and better prices than Oia. One traveler recommended: "Do the volcano and caldera boat tour (€135) early in your stay—it gives you great perspective on the island's geography. Just know your clothes might smell of sulfur for days!" Planning to photograph the famous sunset? Get to Oia 2 hours early to find a good spot.
- Days 9-10
Return to Athens
10 Day Greece Itinerary, incl. Athens and Santorini
Three iconic destinations showcase Greece's highlights: Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. Visit the Acropolis Museum, Paraportiani church, and ancient Akrotiri. Includes 3-4 star hotels, daily breakfast, and three guided tours rated 4.7/5 by 100+ travelers.
- Day 1
Athens Arrival
A private transfer will meet you at Athens International Airport. Try to book afternoon flights to avoid morning traffic in Athens. Your first evening is perfect for exploring Monastiraki Square near many central hotels. "Our hotel in Athens was near Monastiraki square with a nice view of the Acropolis - perfect for that first evening stroll."
- Day 2
Athens Exploration
Start your day early with a guided tour of the Acropolis and its museum at 8:30 AM before crowds and heat build up. The 5-hour tour includes stops at the Panathenaic Stadium and Temple of Zeus. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes since marble steps can be slippery. Your afternoon is free to explore the charming Plaka district.
- Day 3
Athens to Mykonos
- Days 4-5
Mykonos
Take a guided tour of Mykonos town in the evening to see Little Venice and the windmills. "Watching sunset from Little Venice while sipping a cocktail was magical - but get there early to snag a good spot." Use your second day to visit the beaches. Skip crowded Paradise Beach and try the quieter Agios Sostis instead.
- Days 6-8
Santorini
Take a 2.5-hour high-speed ferry to Santorini. You'll enjoy a 6-hour semi-private island tour including the Akrotiri archaeological site, wine tasting and traditional lunch. "The Santorini wine tour was incredible - learning about volcanic soil's influence on the grapes while overlooking the caldera was unforgettable." The Fira to Oia hike (10km) is best done early morning. Bring plenty of water and sun protection since there's little shade. Make time to watch Oia's famous sunset but arrive 1-2 hours early for a good spot.
- Day 9
Santorini to Athens
- Day 10
Departure
10 Day Greek Islands Itinerary, incl. Santorini and Mykonos
A maritime adventure visits 8 distinct Greek islands, from Santorini to Mykonos. Visit Homer's tomb on Ios, Naxos' Temple of Dimitra, and Paros' Venetian ruins. Live aboard a 57-foot yacht with daily stops for swimming, snorkeling, and authentic Greek dining.
- Day 1
Santorini
- Days 2-4
Ios, Small Cyclades & Naxos
Sail to Ios (4-5 hours). Spend your afternoon at Manganari Beach but bring water shoes since the sand gets hot. The Small Cyclades offer quiet coves for swimming on Day 3. Visit the Temple of Dimitra on Naxos in the early morning to beat the heat. A past visitor shares: "The local microbrewery tour in Naxos was a highlight - much better than expected and a great way to escape the midday sun."
- Day 5
Mykonos
- Days 6-7
Syros & Paros
- Days 8-9
Sifnos & Folegandros
- Day 10
Return to Santorini
Sail back to Marina Vlychada. Book extra nights in Santorini since arrival times can vary. Plan flights after 2 PM.
What people love about 10 day Greece tours
- Delve Deep: Greek Islands
This tour exeded well past all my expectations everything about this tour was amazing! The guide , the location , the weather , the activites , the nightlife ,the beach parties and most of all the people!!! This tour was the best 10 days of my 2 month trip ! Our tour guide Themis was there for everyone no matter what it was ,problem big or small day or night he made sure we were all safe and having a great time, all the time ! This time of year was the best time to do this tour the weather was perfect it was sunny everyday with not a cloud once in the 10 days which made everyday great to go to the beach , relax by the pool and just lounge around in your bikini all day !! True paradise ! The only bad thing was that 10 days just went to quick everyone on the tour didn't want it to end !

- Sailing Greece - Santorini to Santorini
Took a tour with G Adventures and really loved the experience. I did the May 2017 Greece Sailing tour and found that the tour was a perfect mix of the best food, best beaches, variety of sightseeing, relaxing, sailing and exploring. We also had a good amount of freedom to explore the islands where we stopped. The group brought together some adventurous people! The other unique thing about this tour was that it was not touristy or a large crowd. We felt like a group of friends exploring the local culture. I would recommend it for anyone who really wants to soak in the culture of the locale and also not stress out about bookings, schedules, costs, language barriers, etc. It's priced very fairly for what is included. Wish you the best of travel experiences!
