  • Day 1

    Coastal Cities & Caesarea

    Your day starts with a 6:30 AM pickup from Tel Aviv (7:40 AM from Jerusalem). Travel north along the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea where you'll need about 2 hours to explore the well-preserved Roman port city. Visit the ancient harbor and amphitheater early for the best morning light. Next up is Haifa's beautiful Baha'i Gardens. Visit the upper terrace before noon when crowds are smaller and views are clearest. Take a 1.5-hour drive north to Rosh HaNikra near the Lebanon border. The white limestone grottoes look best in late afternoon sunlight. The cave walkways can get slippery so wear shoes with good grip. Your final stop is ancient Acre (Akko) where you can cool off in the underground Crusader halls. Spend the night at a Galilee kibbutz hotel.

    
  • Day 2

    Golan Heights Adventure

    Your route takes you through the Valley of Armageddon and across the Jordan River. The climb up to the Golan Heights has lots of twists and turns. If you get carsick try to sit near the front and take motion sickness pills. Stop at the Shalom Observatory early when visibility is best over the Sea of Galilee. Visit the Talmudic village ruins in Katzrin and the Golan Antiquities Museum. Pack a light jacket for exploring the old Syrian bunkers at Mount Bental. They stay cool even in summer. Plan your vineyard visits after 3 PM when temperatures drop. Another night in the region.

    
  • Day 3

    Northern Galilee & Safed

    Start with an early kibbutz tour before it gets hot. At the Banias Nature Reserve near Mount Hermon you'll need good walking shoes for the waterfall trails. The walk up to the 13th-century fortress takes some effort so bring water and sun protection. Stop for lunch in a Druze village before visiting Safed's mystical sites. Plan carefully on Fridays as the ancient synagogues close early. The old city has lots of steep narrow streets. Ask your guide about easier walking routes. You'll get back to Tel Aviv around 6-7 PM.

  • Day 1

    Jerusalem and Bethlehem

    Start your day at Mount Scopus around 6:30 AM to catch the sunrise over Jerusalem. The early morning light offers perfect views of the Dome of the Rock. Head down to the Garden of Gethsemane before 9 AM to see the ancient olive trees. Next, explore the Old City's Jewish Quarter and the restored Byzantine Cardo. One visitor shared: "The Western Wall at morning prayers was deeply moving - remember to dress modestly with covered shoulders and knees." Take the 45-minute drive to Bethlehem in the afternoon. Pack at least 2 liters of water per person and wear sturdy shoes. The ancient stones can be slippery, especially near the northern palace ruins. Spend your afternoon at the Dead Sea beaches. Important tips: Bring water shoes to protect against sharp salt crystals. Skip shaving for 24 hours before swimming to prevent stinging. Limit floating time to 20 minutes and avoid getting water in your eyes. If your skin feels irritated, get out right away.

    Jerusalem's Christian Sites

    Start at the Mount of Olives while it's still cool. The walk down to the Old City takes about 30 minutes on a steep, often slippery path.   • Day 1

    Masada & Dead Sea

    Your tour starts with a 7:00 AM pickup from Eilat for a 3-hour drive through the Negev Desert to Masada. Take the cable car up to avoid the hot snake path hike unless you're visiting at sunrise. "The cable car ride offers stunning views of the Dead Sea and Jordan mountains, but bring a hat and water - there's zero shade at the top." Plan 2-3 hours to explore Masada's ancient fortifications with your guide. Check out the northern palace complex for the best-preserved frescoes.     Dead Sea & Transfer to Eilat

    Get to the Dead Sea early in the morning when it's cooler and less busy. You can float in the salty water but keep your swim under 20 minutes and protect your eyes from the water. Use the included spa facilities while you're there. Important tip: Skip shaving for 24 hours before swimming to avoid the burn from salt water. Take the 3-hour drive back to Eilat in the late afternoon. You'll find plenty of life along the beachfront promenade at night.     Petra Day Trip

    Start at 8:10 AM to cross the Israel-Jordan border smoothly. Bring your passport and set aside 30-45 minutes for border procedures. You'll drive about 2 hours through Wadi Rum's desert scenery to reach Petra. You'll walk about 4-5 miles total on uneven ground starting through the Siq canyon. Good walking shoes and water are essential. Your guide will take you through the Treasury Monastery and Royal Tombs. A visitor suggested: "Start with the Treasury photos when you first arrive - by midday it gets crowded with tour groups." After lunch in Petra head back to Eilat crossing the border again in late afternoon. The full day takes about 12 hours so schedule evening flights if you're leaving Eilat that day.
