  • Day 1

    Jerusalem Old City and New

    Get an early start with hotel pickup (6:30 AM from Tel Aviv or 7:50 AM from Jerusalem) to avoid crowds. Visit Mt. Scopus before 9 AM for clear views over Jerusalem once the morning haze lifts. "The guides are excellent at timing the visits to avoid the biggest crowds, especially at the Western Wall." Wear sturdy shoes for walking the Old City since ancient stone streets can be slippery and uneven. Try to walk the Via Dolorosa before 10 AM when crowds start building up.
