      Manila to Cebu

      Fly from Manila to Cebu (2 hours). Book morning flights to avoid Manila's heavy traffic. Take a 3-hour drive south to Moalboal from Cebu City. You can stop at several waterfalls on the way. Pack water shoes for waterfall visits since the rocks get slippery.

      Moalboal

      Go canyoneering at Kawasan Falls. The adventure takes about 3 hours so bring quick-dry clothes. Plan to see the Sardine Run early the next day around 7 AM when the water is calm and quiet. You can spot the sardines right near the shore which makes it perfect for new snorkelers.

      Coron

      Visit Simala Church near Cebu before taking a 1.5-hour flight to Coron. You'll find excellent snorkeling spots throughout the Sulu Sea. Walk up Mount Tapyas (700+ steps) to catch the sunset. Start about 1.5 hours before sunset and take plenty of water. After your hike relax at Maquinit Hot Springs one of the few saltwater hot springs in Asia.

      Island Hopping to El Nido

      Take a 3-day boat trip from Coron to El Nido. You'll sleep in simple beach huts on quiet islands. The water can get rough so consider motion sickness pills and keep your important items in waterproof bags. The facilities are basic but you'll see incredible stars and untouched beaches.

      El Nido
