7 Day Palawan Itinerary, incl. Puerto Princesa and El Nido
A week-long adventure links Manila, Puerto Princesa's Underground River, El Nido's Big Lagoon, and Coron's Twin Lagoon. The package includes 6 nights' accommodation, 3 internal flights, daily breakfast, and guided tours for around $1,100 total.
- Day 1
Manila to Puerto Princesa
- Day 2
Underground River & Transfer to El Nido
Your Underground River tour starts with a 7:30 AM pickup. Bring water shoes since the cave floor gets slippery. The paddle boat tour lasts about 45 minutes, with an audio guide explaining the unique rock formations. After lunch, get ready for a 5-6 hour van ride to El Nido. "The van ride is long and winding - take motion sickness pills if needed and try to sit near the front."
- Day 3
El Nido Island Hopping
Start your day with the popular island hopping tour to Big Lagoon, Shimizu Beach, and Secret Beach. Remember to pay the PHP200 Eco-Tourism fee before you leave. "The Big Lagoon was breathtaking but gets crowded by midday - opt for early morning tours when possible." Get some reef-safe sunscreen and rent snorkel gear for about $5 to see the colorful marine life.
- Day 4
El Nido to Coron Ferry
- Day 5
Coron Island Ultimate Tour
- Day 6
Coron Town Exploration
- Day 7
Departure Day
- Day 1
Manila to Boracay
Fly from Manila to Boracay. Pack light since domestic flights allow 20kg checked and 7kg carry-on bags. From Caticlan Airport you'll take a bus ride, pay an environmental fee and catch a 30-minute boat to White Beach. Book morning flights to avoid choppy afternoon seas that can affect boat transfers.
- Day 2
Boracay Island Hopping
Join a 9 AM island hopping and helmet diving tour. The 4-hour boat trip includes snorkeling at Crocodile Island (weather permitting), swimming at Puka Beach and visiting Crystal Cove. For helmet diving you'll take a speedboat to a floating platform. Eat breakfast early since moving boats and full stomachs don't mix well. One traveler said: "The helmet diving experience was unique - you can actually walk underwater and feed the fish!"
- Day 3
Boracay to Cebu
- Day 4
Moalboal and Canyoneering
Drive 3 hours to Moalboal to see the famous sardine run and spot sea turtles. Next up is canyoneering at Kawasan Falls. Wear sturdy water shoes and quick-dry clothes. You'll hike, swim and can try cliff jumping if you want (highest jump is 40 feet). Bring a change of clothes but leave valuables behind. A visitor noted: "Bring a waterproof camera - the turquoise waters and jungle setting are incredible."
- Day 5
Cebu to Puerto Princesa
- Day 6
Underground River Tour
Get picked up at 7 AM for the UNESCO site tour. After a 2-hour drive to Sabang Wharf and a boat ride you'll reach the river. The underground river boat tour runs 45 minutes. Sit on the right side for better views. Remember mosquito spray and skip strong perfumes that attract bats. One traveler suggested: "Get the audio guide - it helps understand the fascinating rock formations you're seeing."
- Day 7
Return to Manila
7 Day Philippines Itinerary, incl. Manila and El Nido
Manila's Intramuros district and El Nido's Bacuit archipelago unfold over 7 days. Split between Tryp by Wyndham and Hotel Covo, the tour features Manila Cathedral, Saint Augustine's Church, and Seven Commandos Island.
- Day 1
Manila Arrival
- Day 2
Historic Manila
Start your day at 8 AM in Intramuros, the old Spanish colonial district. Walk the cobblestone streets early before it gets too hot. Visit Manila Cathedral and San Agustin Church (a UNESCO site). Remember to dress modestly since these are working churches. You can take a horse-drawn calesa ride but set the price first - about $10-15 for 30 minutes. The heat peaks from 2-3 PM so head inside to the National Museum or join a cooking class.
- Day 3
Manila to El Nido
- Days 4-5
El Nido Island Hopping
Spend two full days exploring El Nido's lagoons and beaches. Book Tour A for lagoons or Tour C for beaches - they're popular favorites. Book ahead for the Big Lagoon since they only allow 100 people per day. Pack water shoes for the sharp limestone. A recent visitor shared: "Swimming into the Small Lagoon through that narrow opening was like discovering a hidden world. Go early around 7 AM before other boats arrive."
- Day 6
El Nido to Puerto Princesa to Manila
- Day 7
Manila Departure
What people love about 7 day Philippines tours
- A Week In Palawan, Philippines
We were very happy with the itinerary and that we had our contact Marice at hand to provide backup incase of any problems. Local tour operators did an excellent job and Marice was in contact daily to provide updates on pickup and tour times. Accomodation was very good especially the hotel in Coron which exceeded our expectations. Both island hopping tours were amazing as were the lunches provided. Would definitely recommend the week in Palawan tour.
- PhiIippines in a Week
Everything went well, we lost 1 day in Boracay because the flight in Montreal was so late, we stayed 1 night in Japan, good thing breakfast is included. We experienced budol budol in Cebu, we supposed to have pick up, but they told us to line up in the taxi, so we ended up paying the guy. I want to have refund from the day we lost, but CTPH tour said, not refundable anymore + the payment from the taxi. Our trip was fun, we met tourist and the Philippines is so beautiful. We love it❤️
