13 Day South Korea Itinerary, incl. Seoul and Jeju Island
The route through 6 South Korean cities stretches from Seoul's Myeongdong to Jeju Island over 13 days. UNESCO sites like Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju's ancient tombs, and Busan's Jagalchi market await, with stays in hostels and traditional temples.
- Days 1-4
Seoul
Begin in Myeongdong where you'll find excellent shopping and street food. Head to Hapjeong for a K-pop dance class but bring water and wear comfortable clothes since the choreography can be challenging. Book a morning DMZ tour on day 3 because afternoon tours often get canceled due to military exercises. Remember to bring your passport and dress conservatively for the DMZ. Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace early at 9 AM to beat the tour groups. You'll need clean socks since you'll remove shoes at temples. Book your hanbok rental early because popular sizes are usually gone by lunch time.
- Day 5
Temple Stay
- Day 6
Jeonju
- Days 7-8
Gyeongju
- Days 9-10

- Days 11-13

12 Days in South Korea, incl. Seoul and Busan
A remarkable 12-day tour covers 5 major cities: Seoul's palaces, Sokcho's national parks, Gyeongju's ancient tombs, Busan's coastal temples, and Jeju's waterfalls. Rated 4.6/5 from 130+ reviews.
- Days 1-3
Seoul & DMZ
Book your first hostel near Line 2 subway for easy airport access since morning traffic can get heavy. Start exploring the vibrant Myeongdong district and take a Taekwondo class. Ride the cable car up Namsan Mountain for night views. Spend the next two days visiting the DMZ (passport required) and Gyeongbokgung Palace. A traveler shared: "Watching the monks collect alms at sunrise was humbling. Get to the palace by 8:30 AM before tour groups arrive."
- Day 4
Seoraksan National Park
Take the early bus to Sokcho (2.5 hours) for hiking in Seoraksan. You can choose the challenging Ulsanbawi Rock trail or an easier waterfall route. Wear shoes with good grip since the rocks can get slippery. One hiker advised: "The cable car option gives great views if you're not up for the full hike. Book first morning slot to avoid crowds."
- Days 5-6
Gyeongju
- Days 7-9
Busan
The KTX high-speed train gets you to Busan in 45 minutes. Start at Gamcheon Culture Village early to beat the heat. Make time for Haedong Yonggungsa Temple and see the bridge lights from Gwangalli Beach at night. One visitor suggested: "Book Spa Land visits for weekday mornings - weekends get extremely crowded. The fish markets are best before 10 AM for freshest catches."
- Days 10-12
Jeju Island
Take a 1-hour flight from Busan. Start with Seongsan Ilchulbong crater in the morning before the sun gets too strong. Visit Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliffs and take a yacht tour. A traveler noted: "Rent a car on Jeju - public transport is limited and taxis are expensive. Book ahead as cars sell out during peak season."

- South Korea Classic 13 Day - One Life Adventures
It was a blast! Not only we visited multiple cities and one island staying in some unique accommodations showing different sides of Korean hospitality, we also got a chance to learn some k-pop dancing, Korean language, and taekwondo! Our tour guide CheongAn made the whole experience memorable - he has outstanding personality, he went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time and addressed any questions the group had. On top of that, thanks to CheongAn’s recommendations second theme of the tour became a food tour, as we had a chance to try impressively big variety of delicious local food. Thanks to the team organising this whole experience South Korea became one of the top destinations I have ever visited!
- 12-Day South Korea Adventure: From Seoul to Jeju Island
My feedback is a little bit mixed as the accommodations were okay; the IBIS hotel was really comfortable, but the hostels in Gyeongju and Busan weren’t the best. The one in Gyeongju had mold on the walls which caused one person to leave and the one in Busan was dirty and had construction workers outside playing very loud music really early in the morning. We found that Olia sometimes can be a little chaotic, and exhibits behaviours that can be off putting to some, such as crying in front of tour members, acting a bit over enthusiastic and drinking a bit too much. It was also very intense having to have tour guides staying in hotel and hostel rooms with us. I think Olia needs guidance as she seems to be struggling with a few things in her life, but she has great potential as she is a very caring person who is always happy to help. Outside of these negatives, there were so many positives. The experiences I had were extremely valuable, such as the stay in the temple, the bonding with other tripmates (who I am now friends with), and hanging out with locals. Damien, too, was incredible. He was inexperienced but it didn’t seem like he was. His knowledge was really good and he could read a room really well, and knew what other tour members wanted. The food was also incredible! All in all, I had a really good experience. I think I would like to travel with the Dragon Trip again.
