10 Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary, incl. Serengeti and Ngorongoro
The remarkable 10-day route covers 7 key destinations across 552km², from Arusha to Lake Natron. Six national parks including Serengeti and Ngorongoro await, with cultural stops at Maasai villages and Hadzabe communities. Approx. $340 per day covers all meals and camping.
- Days 1-2
Arusha & Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from Arusha. Drive 38km to Arusha National Park where you can spot over 400 bird species before continuing to Tarangire. Plan your visit between June and September to see thousands of wildebeest and buffalo migrating to the Tarangire River. A recent visitor shared: "Our guide was particularly good at helping us see the big 5, especially on the second day where we could see the lions practically next to the jeep."
- Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park
Start with a morning game drive through the underground water forest to Lake Manyara. While wildlife viewing can be hit or miss here, you'll find the park's famous tree-climbing lions and about 350 bird species. Take binoculars to spot flamingos on the lake. The weather varies quite a bit so pack light layers for cool mornings and warm afternoons.
- Days 4-5
Serengeti National Park
Travel to Serengeti through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You can stop at Olduvai Gorge to explore early human history. You'll have two full days to explore the Serengeti plains. Get up early for 6:30 AM game drives when predators are most active. If you're visiting during migration season (July-October) head north to catch river crossings. Stay at Seronera Campsite for convenient access to prime viewing areas.
- Days 6-7
Ngorongoro Crater & Lake Eyasi
- Days 8-9
Cultural Encounters & Lake Natron
Visit Mto wa Mbu village where 120 different tribes live. Learn about local brewing and farming on a cultural walk. The drive to Lake Natron is rough but worth it. Visit between August and November to see millions of breeding flamingos. Bring good walking shoes and sun protection since the lake's surface reflects intense heat.
- Day 10
Return to Arusha
10 Day Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route Itinerary, incl. Moshi and Uhuru Peak

What people love about 10 day Tanzania tours
- Mt Kilimanjaro Trek - Lemosho Route
I really like the tour which is very well arranged and probably the most luxurious camping experience I have ever had (ironically the longest too). I felt safe hiking with the group because I knew I would be well taken care of. However, the price of the tour actually include a “strongly recommended” (by the tour guide and also some North American participants in the trip) 10% tips, on top of the already very expensive tour. This is quite a lot for someone been living in Europe for 3 years. This could actually move the dial on people’s decision to choose across different tour providers too. I would strongly recommend tourradar to make this clear into the total cost allocation prior to people booking. Even better if G adventure could clarify its policy and rationale on tipping. (I have written a separate feedback to G adventure,?looking forward to the response!)
- 10-Day Join Group /Cultural Tour and Wildlife Safari
I have booked a 8 nights Safari in Tanzania between Tarangire - Lake Manyara - Lake Natron - Serengeti (north and central) - Ngorongoro - Lake Eyasi. Since the booking David Maro, the owner of the company, has been really great, customizing the tour following my needs. Everything was really professional since the first email and the booking process was really smooth. Being a small company, Kili Slope has great care for their customers: the communication between the booking and the start of the Safari has always been accurate and effective. Then, when the time for the safari arrived, everything from the beginning was absolutely fantastic! 1. the driver / guide, Jackson, is a safe driver and has great knolwedge of the parks and we were always there at the right time to see the best things: the river crossing by the wildebeest, the lions hunting, the leopard having his food, the cheetah with her babies... Moreover he was always helpful in explaining things and the dynamics of wildlife 2. the car was really comfortable and clean. Water was provided every day 3. the accomodations were really good, especially the tented camps in the Serengeti 4. the itinerary was well designed, we never had to rush and had enough time to enjoy everything at the right pace 4. David Maro was really kind and wanted to meet me at the start and the end of the tour: this is great customer care! It was my fifth experience in Africa and i have to admit that this safari in Tanzania was the best of my life. Kili Slope is a reliable company and i would suggest to book with them over the biggest company in Arusha if you want to have a better customer experience.
- 10 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing - Lemosho Route
We had an amazing trek with our guides, Noel and Sunday the cook prepared our daily delicious meals, our ‘personal assistant’ and the porters. They were all amazing and helped us Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro successfully! They always were positive, helpful, caring and made us laugh. Thanks to them, the good camping gear and the great food (Muddy is an amazing chef!) we reached the peak. 5 stars all the way!
