Ship Overview
The three-masted traditional sailing ship Rembrandt van Rijn was built in 1922 and used as a foresailer for herring fishing. In 1994, the ship was converted into a three-masted schooner for passenger service in the Netherlands and then sailed in Svalbard (1994-1996) and the Galapagos Islands (1998-2001).
As with all sailing trips, flexibility and team spirit are essential for a successful cruise experience on board the Rembrandt van Rijn. Assistance on board is permitted and encouraged.
