3 Days in Cappadocia, incl. Göreme and Uchisar
Three days of Cappadocian wonders cost approx. $170 per day. The route leads from Esentepe viewpoint to Uchisar Castle on day one, through Red Valley and underground cities on day two, ending at Cavusin village. Two nights at Gamirasu Hotel include breakfast and expert-guided tours.
- Day 1
Northern Cappadocia
Book a morning flight arriving before 8:30 AM at either Kayseri (ASR) or Nevsehir (NAV) airport. The drive to Cappadocia takes about an hour. Start your adventure at Esentepe viewpoint before 10 AM when the morning light creates perfect photo conditions. Next up is Uchisar Castle, which offers the best views in Cappadocia. Make sure to wear shoes with good grip since the old stone steps can be tricky to navigate. Take a lunch break before visiting the Göreme Open Air Museum. The best time to go is between 2-4 PM when most tour groups have left. Don't skip the Dark Church. It costs an extra 25 TL but the well-preserved frescoes are worth every penny. Finish your day watching sunset at Pasabag (Monks Valley) and Devrent Valley. The fairy chimneys look incredible in the evening light. Pack a light jacket since temperatures drop after sunset, even during summer months.
- Day 2
Southern Cappadocia
Visit Pigeon Valley and Red Valley in the morning light when the rocks take on a beautiful glow. The trails between valleys are easy to follow, but bring plenty of water and sunscreen since you won't find much shade. Save the underground cities for afternoon when it's cooler. Just keep in mind the passages are quite narrow if you're not comfortable in small spaces. Head to Avanos after 3 PM to watch pottery demonstrations without the morning crowds.
- Day 3
Final Morning
A hot air balloon ride costs around $175-200 per person. You'll need to wake up at 4:30 AM but seeing Cappadocia at sunrise from above is unforgettable. Book this for your first morning in case weather causes cancellations, especially in winter. If you skip the balloon ride, spend your last morning exploring Göreme's cave churches or shopping for ceramics in Avanos before heading to the airport.

What people love about 3 Day Cappadocia Tours
- 3 Day Highlights of Cappadocia Tour from Istanbul
The three day Cappadocia tour was amazing!! The cave hotel that we stayed at was unique, artistic and so beautiful! Waking up in the morning with the skies overhead filled with colorful hot air balloons was a sight to remember forever! Next time we come we will definitely take a balloon ride. The places that the tour guides took us were very interesting and the guides were extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful (especially Ms Cini!!) The food was absolutely delicious!
- Istanbul to Cappadocia 3 Days by Plane
An amazing tour! Both North and South Cappadocia are an amazing one exciting in a lifetime opportunity to see guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, spoke multiple languages and let us have free time at every stop so we could see what we wanted too. Bus driver was amazing, lunch was great (drinks extra) and very accommodating with hotels and transport- either by bus or airline there.
