What people love about Canada Tours from Calgary
- 5-Day Canadian Rockies Adventure: Banff, Jasper & Yoho National Parks Tour
Dear Sir / Madam, Generally the tour was fine, however I have the following points of concern. 1. The driver did not stop at the Spiral Tunnel and just commented as we passed by. (There were several other tours who had stopped there.) 2. I had opted out of the Daily Driver/Guide Gratuity as I believed that to be optional and up to my discretion. However on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday the Tour Guide made it very clear that he demanded C$20 per day being C$10 for the drive and C$10 for himself and it was not optional. In fact he took the money as he was handing out the key for the hotel rooms each evening!! On the Friday tour the driver/guide was clear that it was optional. I feel if the gratuity is compulsory it should be included in the package price. This did have the effect of impacting my good feeling on the trip. 3. The last point and one of constructive criticism is I had asked when the tour would get back to Calgary on the Friday and was advised that it would be 8:30 to 9:00pm which meant that I would not catch my flight so I booked a hotel room thru yourselves. In fact we arrived around 6:00 to 6:30pm so I could have in fact managed to catch my flight to Winnipeg, thereby saving the cost of the hotel for the night. Kind Regards Edwin Petrie
- Journeys: Discover the Canadian Rockies - Westbound National Geographic Journeys
Our Westbound tour of the Canadian Rockies with National Geographic/G Adventures was first class. It was made memorable by the care our tour guide Joanne took of what we saw, the multiple stops for photos, her knowledge of the history and geography of where we were and endless recommendations of things to do and see and where to dine. The scenery in the Rockies is breathtaking, the towns of Banff, Jasper and Whistler a delight and Victoria is charming with lots to see. Our shared house experience at Blue River with the barbecue cooked by Joanne was also something to remember.
- 7 Day Rocky Mountain Camping Adventure
Alex is fantastic. The tour will bring you to places and hikes that are not your usual touristy places.
