10 Days in Brazil, incl. Rio de Janeiro and Iguazu Falls
A vibrant 10-day Brazilian tour connects 3 iconic cities across 1100km. The itinerary offers 4 days in Rio exploring Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain, 2 days at Iguazu Falls viewing both Brazilian and Argentine sides, and 3 days in Salvador's UNESCO-listed Pelourinho district.
- Days 1-4
Rio de Janeiro
Start your Brazil journey in Rio and base yourself in vibrant Copacabana. On arrival day, take it easy and walk along Copacabana's beachfront promenade before watching the sun set at Pedra do Arpoador. Book a morning flight into Rio to avoid the heavy afternoon traffic from the airport. Day two focuses on Rio's famous landmarks with a local guide. Get to Christ the Redeemer early (8 AM is ideal) when crowds are thin and visibility is best. Visit Sugar Loaf Mountain, the bright Selaron Steps, and Sambodromo. A recent visitor shared: "Taking the cable car up Sugar Loaf during golden hour gives you the most incredible views of Rio - the light hitting the mountains is magical." Spend day three exploring Rio's sports heritage at Maracana Stadium. Later, walk through Santa Teresa's artistic hillside area and join a respectful guided tour of Rocinha favela to see local life beyond tourist spots. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes for Santa Teresa's steep cobblestone streets.
- Days 5-6
Iguazu Falls
Take a morning flight to Foz do Iguaçu for the best aerial views of the falls. Start on the Brazilian side for wide panoramas and visit Parque das Aves to spot tropical birds. Cross to Argentina the next day to get closer to the falls on walkways. The Gran Aventura boat ride is optional but unforgettable. You'll get wet but the experience is worth it. Pack a waterproof phone case and quick-dry clothes.
- Days 7-9
Salvador
Fly to Salvador to experience Brazil's Afro-Brazilian cultural heart. Walk through the UNESCO World Heritage Pelourinho district full of colonial buildings and churches. Your guide will show you important sites like Igreja do Senhor do Bonfim, which plays a key role in Bahian religious life. Take a day trip to Praia do Forte and Guarajuba Beach along the Coconut Highway.

10 Day Brazil Itinerary, incl. Pantanal and Amazon
A 10-day, $2,900 Brazilian escape stretches from Campo Grande to Manaus. The route covers 2 UNESCO sites with 4 days in Pantanal and 4 in Amazon. Daily activities feature piranha fishing on Claro River, indigenous village visits, and wildlife spotting on Tracajá Lake.
- Day 1
Campo Grande to Pantanal
Arrive at Campo Grande International Airport (CGR). The journey into the Pantanal covers 142km - 100km on paved roads and 42km on the rugged Transpantaneira Highway. Book morning flights to avoid the afternoon heat and spot more wildlife during your transfer. The Transpantaneira's bumpy road offers great stops to photograph caimans and capybaras.
- Days 2-4
Pantanal Wildlife Experience
Stay at a riverside lodge and spend three full days exploring the Pantanal. Start your mornings horseback riding through flooded grasslands where you'll get better wildlife views from up high. Take afternoon boat tours on the Claro River to look for giant river otters and various bird species. You can try piranha fishing from the deck or join night safaris to find nocturnal animals like ocelots. Pack quick-dry clothes since the humidity stays high all year.
- Day 5
Pantanal to Manaus
- Days 6-8
Amazon Rainforest
Your Amazon experience starts with an interesting journey by boat to see the Meeting of Waters, where the dark Rio Negro meets the sandy Solimões River. Continue by road and small boat through narrow waterways (igarapés) to your jungle lodge. Daily activities include: - Early morning canoe trips for bird watching - Guided jungle walks to discover medicinal plants - Visits to local ribeirinho communities - Night trips to spot caimans - Piranha fishing in Tracajá Lake Pack light, long-sleeved clothes in neutral colors to improve your chances of seeing wildlife. Your lodge will provide rubber boots for walks.
- Days 9-10
Manaus Return & Departure
10 Days in Argentina & Brazil, incl. Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro
Three major Brazilian cities come alive over 10 days: Foz do Iguaçu for the falls, Rio for Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain, plus optional excursions to Buzios or Arraial do Cabo. Accommodations include 4-star hotels with daily breakfast and guided city tours.
- Days 1-3
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Spend your first three days exploring the sophisticated Argentine capital's diverse neighborhoods. "The combination walking, bus and subway tour with Gisela was excellent - her 30 years of experience really showed in her knowledge of the city." Start in modern Puerto Madero before wandering the historic cobblestone streets of San Telmo. Consider booking a tango show at El Querandi for $92. Previous guests loved the "outstanding three-course dinner with wine and professional performance."
- Days 4-5
Iguazu Falls
Catch a morning flight to Puerto Iguazu. A tip: pack light since checked bags cost $35 per flight. Visit both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of the falls. "The Argentine side has more falls but direct sun exposure, while the Brazilian side offers better panoramic views and shaded walkways." Start with the Argentine side ($144 including lunch and border crossing) followed by the Brazilian side next day. You'll definitely get wet so bring rain gear.
- Days 6-9
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Take a 2.5-hour flight to Rio and stay near Copacabana Beach. Your full-day tour includes Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. Going early helps avoid crowds and hazy views. Many visitors recommend adding the Ginga Tropical samba show with rodizio dinner. One guest noted: "The Arena Copacabana Hotel's location is perfect - you're surrounded by beach bars with live music, yet it feels very safe."

What people love about 10 day Brazil tours
- Brazil and Argentina with Iguazu Falls 4 Star
This wonderful tour was excellently organized and the team, especially Erica, was always available 24/7 for requests. Our expectations were met and even exceeded to our complete satisfaction. We will have fond memories of this trip.
- Standard Argentina, Rio And Iguazu Falls
Hi, my experience with Wanderful Holidays was great, The day of departure my flight was cancelled here in USA d/t bad weather, my mother flight departed from Peru, and she arrived that first day of the tour in Argentina , the local team was aware of my situation and they treated my mother with kindness and made her feel very comfortable with the tour, sincerely I thank them specially to Mrs Gisella (tour guide)and Mr Osvaldo (tour guide taxi driver). I arrived the next day and the local team found the way that I meet my mother during the city tour, this was so emotional, the rest of the tour day by day was running smooth , Iguazu was spectacular, we really enjoyed all the tour, the hotels were 4 start, in Brazil the hotel had view of the ocean and at night it was so relaxing to hear the waves , I really recommend this tour if you want to know about the Spanish culture of Argentina and Brazil...Thanks to every one that made possible this unforgettable tour.
- Argentina & Brazil Adventure (4 destinations)
This was a really good trip - small group, entertaining leader, lots of fun. I'd suggest to arrive early to spend a bit more time in Buenos Aires. The best part was Iguazu Falls. We got to spend ample time at both sides of the Falls, which was fantastic as each side provided different views. Arraial do Cabo was a nice surprise - we were the only foreign tourists there so it was a more "authentic" experience. And of course Rio was as beautiful as I expected.
