10 Days in Croatia, incl. Split and Dubrovnik
The Adriatic beckons on this 10-day sailing from Split to Dubrovnik. Cycle through Mljet National Park, kayak medieval walls, enjoy Hvar's nightlife, and swim in hidden bays. Rest in ensuite cabins while savoring fresh seafood lunches and sunset cocktails.
- Days 1-2
Split & Makarska
Begin your Croatian journey in Split. "Split's Old Town has such amazing Roman roots - get there early before the crowds hit." Visit Diocletian's Palace during the cooler morning hours. On your second day take a boat to Makarska, a beautiful resort town next to the Biokovo mountains. The 3-hour trip includes your first swim in the clear Adriatic waters.
- Day 3
Mljet National Park
- Day 4
Dubrovnik
Take a full day to explore the "Pearl of the Adriatic." Go sea kayaking around the city walls in the morning before tourist crowds arrive. "Watching Dubrovnik appear as you paddle around the fortress walls is unforgettable." For the best sunset views take the cable car up Mount Srđ. Book tickets online to skip the lines.
- Day 5
Trstenik
- Day 6
Korčula
- Days 7-8
Hvar & Return to Split
- Days 9-10
Krka & Split Finale
10 Days in Croatia, incl. Zagreb and Dubrovnik
The Dalmatian coast unfolds across a 10-day route through 8 destinations including Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik. Marvel at Plitvice's 16 lakes, admire Trogir's Venetian architecture, and sail to six islands. Highlights include UNESCO sites, national parks, and authentic oyster tasting.
- Days 1-2
Zagreb
Start your Croatian journey in the capital. Get to St. Mark's Church in the Upper Town by 8:30 AM before the crowds start arriving. Take the funicular up from Lower Town instead of walking the steep steps. Visit the Cathedral next and climb the viewing platform when the morning light is perfect for photos.
- Day 3
Zagreb to Split via Plitvice Lakes
Get on the road by 7 AM for the 2.5-hour drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park. You'll want to arrive before the big crowds. The wooden walkways can be slippery so wear shoes with good grip. Plan to spend 4-5 hours exploring the lower lakes trails. Afterward drive another 2.5 hours to Split to board your cruise ship.
- Day 4
Trogir & Krka National Park
Start in Trogir which locals call "Mini Venice." A recent visitor shared: "The narrow marble streets in Trogir's old town are best explored before 10 AM when cruise groups arrive." In the afternoon head to Krka National Park. Unlike Plitvice you can swim here in certain areas near the falls so bring your swimsuit.
- Days 5-6
Island Hopping - Biševo, Vis & Hvar
If weather allows visit the Blue Cave on Biševo. It costs about $15 to enter and looks best between 11 AM-noon when sunlight creates a bright blue glow. Continue to Vis Island then spend the next day in Hvar. Take a 20-minute walk up to the Fortica fortress before sunset for incredible views of the bay.
- Day 7
Korčula
- Day 8
Mljet & Slano
- Days 9-10
Dubrovnik
10 Day Croatia Itinerary, incl. Zagreb and Dubrovnik
A grand Croatian tour winds through 9 destinations from Zagreb's Upper Town to Trogir's medieval core. Marvel at Plitvice Lakes' 16 terraced pools, sail to 6 islands including Hvar and Korčula, and visit UNESCO sites like Dubrovnik's Old Town and Split's Diocletian Palace.
- Days 1-2
Zagreb
Start your Croatian adventure in the capital. Visit St. Mark's Church with its colorful tiled roof early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Take the quick funicular ride up from Lower Town to Upper Town (Gornji Grad). Spend your afternoon exploring Tkalčićeva street where you can relax at local cafes and watch city life unfold.
- Day 3
Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes to Trogir
Start early for the 2.5-hour drive to Plitvice Lakes National Park. Bring shoes with good grip since the wooden walkways can get slippery. You'll need 4-5 hours to see the lower lakes properly. Bring your own food as the park has limited options. The drive to Trogir takes another 3 hours, arriving for boat check-in at 2 PM.
- Day 4
Bol and Hvar
Sail to Brač island's Zlatni Rat beach in the morning. The beach changes shape with the currents throughout the day. Head to Hvar town after lunch. In busy seasons, boats dock in Stari Grad with bus transfers to Hvar town. Take a 20-minute uphill walk to Fortica fortress for great sunset views. Bring water bottles for the climb.
- Days 5-6
Mljet and Dubrovnik
On Mljet, rent a bike or take a boat to explore the salt lakes. In Dubrovnik, walk the city walls right when they open at 8 AM to beat the heat. A visitor recommends: "Book the cable car to Mount Srđ for sunset rather than midday - the afternoon light makes for better photos and the crowds are smaller."
- Days 7-8
Korčula and Pučišća
- Days 9-10
Split and Trogir
What people love about 10 day Croatia tours
- Croatia Sail Adventure
I just finished Intro Travel’s new Croatia tour with Anna and had an incredible time! The tour was so well organised, with the perfect balance between exploring new places and lying out on the top deck on the boat whilst travelling to our next location / stopping for a swim stop along the way. My favourite experiences were Mljet National Park (which I didn’t even know about before!), Krka National park (and its beautiful waterfalls), walking the walls in Dubrovnik, and our Captain’s Dinner. None of this could have been possible without Anna - she was like an older sister to us all on the trip, bringing all the fun and inclusivity whilst making sure we were all safe and organising all the different elements of the trip (what a powerhouse!). I made some great friends on the trip and some incredible memories. Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
- Cycle the Dalmatian Coast
A very enjoyable cycling tour along a stunningly beautiful coastline. The cycling was of a moderate standard with the occasional challenging hills, but the views and scenery soon revived the aching limbs. The tour leaders were excellent and the local city guides knowledgeable and interesting. All the hotels were selected for their locations with great scenery, views, beaches and restaurant choices. Local food was of good quality, quantity and affordable, as was the wine! A highly recommended trip.
- Croatia Sailing Adventure
So here we go - it was an awesome time with great people, amazing places and just the right mix of relaxing (mostly on the boat while sunbathing...) and doing things including amazing parties. Great people, great food (on the boat too) and the boat-crew was amazing too. Honestly: If you love beaches, beautiful stunning places and having an absalut incredible time, this is just the perfect trip. A very special shout out to both Ivan and Ryan for being the best guides you can think of. :)
