- Days 1-2
Cairo & Giza
Get to the Great Pyramid of Giza by 8:30 AM to avoid crowds and intense heat. Plan 3-4 hours for the Egyptian Museum with special attention to the Tutankhamun collection and Royal Mummies hall. A recent visitor noted: "The pyramids are breathtaking, but go early - by 10 AM the tour buses arrive and it gets uncomfortably hot."
- Days 3-4
Aswan & Abu Simbel
Take the overnight train to Aswan. The journey takes 12 hours and the AC gets cold, so pack warm clothes. Start your morning at the vibrant Aswan market. The Abu Simbel trip starts very early at 3:30 AM but you won't regret it. End your day with dinner at a local Nubian village. One guest shared: "The Nubian family dinner was a highlight - such warm hospitality and the best food of the trip."
- Days 5-8
Luxor & Valley of the Kings
Travel to Luxor by felucca boat, stopping at Kom Ombo temple. The drive takes about 3 hours. Visit Karnak Temple first thing in the morning. Set aside 4 hours for the Valley of the Kings and remember water and sun protection. Take a bike ride through nearby villages to see local life. A visitor tip: "Book the optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor - seeing the temples from above at sunrise was magical."
- Days 9-10
Red Sea at Hurghada
Drive four hours to Hurghada's beaches. Take a full-day snorkeling trip to Giftun Island. The coral reefs are spectacular but bring your own snorkel gear. Morning offers the best water visibility. One traveler wrote: "The Red Sea's colors are incredible - we saw dolphins, rays and countless tropical fish."
- Days 11-13
Alexandria & El Alamein
Fly back to Cairo and drive to Alexandria, about 2.5 hours away. Visit the modern Library and the ancient Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. Stop at El Alamein's WWII sites on your return to Cairo. What people love about 2 week Egypt tours
- Egypt Highlights
Hello, timeless tours was amazing, I stayed for about 15 days to explore Egypt. I couldn’t have asked for better guides Mariam and Ramez, both guides were amazing who showed impeccable knowledge about all the historical monuments all over. Although my time with ramez was short, with only a few days with him as our tour group split into two groups I have to say he was so welcoming and acknowledged every need that me and my sisters needed and met all our requirements that we asked for. My main tour guide was Mariam, she is the most sweetest and caring tour guide ever. We pretty much travelled to all the important sites of Egypt and she answered all our questions we had about Egypt, everytime we needed food or to stop anywhere she would give us time to relax before hitting the road again. My favourite two places was Abu Simbel and ofcourse th Great Pyramids of Giza. Everything in general about Egypt was beautiful you can almost imagine you were there at the ancient Egyptian time by how well the temples and mosques were preserved. Timeless Tours , specifically Mariam & Ramez you have been amazing and I will definitely come back. Both of you guys will always have a place in my Heart ❤️
- Highlights of Egypt
The trip was more than I expected! Said our guide was amazing, so knowledgeable and really looked out for us all. Most of the accommodation was better than I expected. If you are doing overnight on the Felucca in January take a sleeping bag as well as it was freezing.
