10 Day Spain & Morocco Itinerary, incl. Seville and Fes
This extensive 10-day tour covers 14 cities, from Lisbon's historic center to Madrid's vibrant capital. Highlights include UNESCO-listed Caceres medieval quarter, Seville's María Luisa Park, and Granada's Alhambra palace. Guests enjoy upscale hotels like Silken Al-Andalus Palace, with daily breakfast and 9 dinners.
- Day 1
Lisbon to Seville (575 km)
Leave at 7:30 AM from Lutecia Smart Design Hotel in Lisbon. Stop in medieval Cáceres around midday to explore its UNESCO-listed old quarter. "The handoffs between regions can be abrupt, so take advantage of free time in Cáceres to get lunch and explore the Plaza Mayor." You'll reach Seville in time for dinner.
- Day 2
Seville
Start with a city tour of María Luisa Park and Plaza de España. Visit the Jewish Quarter of Santa Cruz before the afternoon heat sets in. The narrow alleys offer welcome shade. You might want to take the optional Guadalquivir river cruise for different views of the city. "The evening flamenco show was a highlight, but bring cash for unexpected performer tips."

10 Day Spain & Portugal Itinerary, incl. Madrid and Lisbon
The grand 10-day tour visits 13 cities from Madrid to Lisbon. Highlights include León's Gothic Cathedral, Santiago's Plaza del Obradoiro, and Porto's wine cellars. Selected accommodations include Holiday Inn Porto Gaia and Lutecia Lisboa.
- Day 1
Madrid to León to Oviedo
Take the 7:45 AM bus from Madrid's terminal for the northbound journey. You'll spend about 4 hours getting to León. Check out its Gothic Cathedral in the afternoon when the sunlight makes the stained glass windows look their best. After covering 446km you'll reach Oviedo by evening. Bring a light lunch for the bus ride since stops are quick.
- Day 2
La Coruña and Rías Altas
- Day 3
Santiago de Compostela
Get to Santiago's historic center early before the crowds. The Cathedral welcomes pilgrims from 7:00 AM and watching their arrival is really special. Watch your step on the stone-paved Plaza del Obradoiro when it's wet. Want great photos? Visit the cathedral at sunset when the stones take on a golden glow.
- Day 4
Rías Baixas and Vigo
- Day 5
Portugal-bound via Viana do Castelo and Braga
- Day 6
Porto Exploration
- Day 7
Coimbra's University City
- Day 8
Fátima to Lisbon
- Day 9
Lisbon Exploration
Start at Belém Tower at 10 AM opening time to avoid crowds. Book Jerónimos Monastery tickets online to skip the lines. Spend your afternoon in the Alfama district but wear good shoes for the uneven cobblestones. If you visit Sintra pick just one palace since there's lots of walking.
- Day 10
Return to Madrid via Cáceres
The 613 km drive to Madrid includes a stop in Cáceres. Visit Plaza Mayor at lunch when it's quieter. The medieval area is small but steep. Plan to reach Madrid before rush hour in the evening.
10 Days Religious Pilgrimage in Portugal, France & Spain, incl. Fatima and Lourdes
A spiritual 10-day journey through Portugal and Spain visits Fatima, Burgos, and Barcelona. Stays include Hotel de Fatima and Occidental 1929. Total costs around $2,500 cover UNESCO site visits, 14 meals with regional wines, and expert guides.
- Days 1-2
Fatima, Portugal
- Day 3
Fatima and Aljustrel
Start your day with Mass at the Basilica before visiting the Parish Church where the three shepherd children were baptized. Visit the simple homes of Francisco Jacinta and Lucia in Aljustrel. The walk to Valinhos where the fifth apparition occurred takes about 25 minutes. Remember water and sun protection since shade is limited. Head back to Fatima for evening prayers and the candlelight procession. One pilgrim called it "an unforgettable experience of unity and devotion."
- Days 4-5
Burgos, Spain
The 7-hour drive east to Burgos gives you time to reflect. Visit the Gothic cathedral early to beat the crowds. "The intricate details of the cathedral spires are mind-blowing. Hire the audio guide to truly appreciate the architecture," suggests a visitor. Pack good walking shoes for the medieval Burgos tour since the streets are cobbled and can be steep.
- Days 6-7
Lourdes, France
It's a scenic 5-hour drive through the Pyrenees to Lourdes. The candlelight processions start at 9:00 PM. Bring warm clothes for cool mountain evenings. Visit the Grotto when it opens at 6:00 AM for the most peaceful experience. Your walking tour includes the Boly Mill and Cachot prison. The sites are close but expect some uphill walks. Bring a bottle to collect Lourdes spring water.
- Days 8-9
Barcelona, Spain
The 6-hour drive to Barcelona takes you through beautiful countryside. Book Sagrada Familia tickets online before your morning panoramic tour. Your Gothic Quarter walk takes about 2 hours. Watch for pickpockets and wear comfortable shoes. A traveler recommends: "The farewell dinner in Barcelona was perfect. Try the local Catalan specialties and cava sparkling wine."

What people love about 10 day Portugal and Spain tours
- From Lisbon 10-Day Andalucia & Morocco
I signed up for 3 days in Portugal 3 days in Spain and 3 days in Morocco. Without knowing it was 6 day in Spain and three in Morocco. Very disappointed ! It was very difficult with tipping as we had three tour leaders and many locals I’ve never had this happen in my 20 years of world wide travels . Never again
- Highlights of Spain and Portugal
The overall expirience was awesome. I already recommended your company to many of my people for I worked 25 years in the turism industry and was a President Sales Executive for the Marriott Vacation Club Int. andnow I'm a policy Advisor for the Government of my country.By the way Thomas was A#1. The only thing that I was very disappointed in was the internet on the bus was to cry for . No internet 90% of the time. I hope you will have this in consideration for I'm planning a trip for next year and expect some kind of consideration. Thanking you in advance . I remain. Thanya Croes +2975932999
- Charming Spain & Portugal - 10 Days
Oh my, where to begin! Bus driver, itinerary, hotels and meals were excellent as were city tour guides. The negative: we were the only English speaking tourists on 3 different buses with 3 different guides. The tour was run by VPT. We switched bus and guide in Caceres and again in Granada. Each of the three guides spent 90% of the time speaking Spanish. Two of the guides did not speak English well. We had difficulty understanding directions and the 2nd guide was annoyed every time we asked for further explanation. 3 buses and 3 guides were not what we signed up for and we felt we were just being shuffled from place to place.
