Jose· March 30th, 2025Overall the tour was great. The sites were amazing. Pros: the accommodations were great. Rooms were clean and spacious. The additional tours were fun and more informative than running in town on your own, highly recommend it. Cons: VPT bus had limited or no WiFi. Bus had no restroom. VPT tour guide tried her best to provide information about the locations but couldn’t be understood due to the lack of English translation and was flipping from Spanish to English with limited translations. VPT guide was not informative guide information. We had to keep asking questions about location information to include hotel info and local information for interested shopping. Overall I would recommend Highlights of Spain & Portugal but I would go with another travel agent not VPT.Show more
Trip date: March 2025- Mary· March 30th, 2025Our primary tour leader was kind and responsive and kept us going from place to place. Local tours were very good. Itinerary was great - there were a few spots (Trujillo and Cáceres) that I wish we had had more time in. They were designated lunch stops, but they were very interesting and we didn’t get to explore them much at all.It was a little disconcerting to have people join up and leave at several stops, until we were the ones who left and joined another group. Had not understood that this would be how the tour was conducted. Felt like a hop on hop off local trolley tour. Was disappointing in that. - Travis· March 26th, 2025We really enjoyed our trip! The only reason for the 4 stars was due to the gas station/stop locations. I think they could plan for better places to stop. Their buses are forced to stop by law every 1.5 hours or 2 hours. One of the stops didn't have toilet seats in the bathrooms. Food was not great at these locations. I really enjoyed our tour guides and we only speak English. I would definitely recommend this trip and tour company to others.Show moreTrip date: March 2025

Maybe fewer stops and longer time at the places would be easier on the people. Remember, most tourists were people of retirement ages.Show moreTrip date: October 2023
- SPSoheila· August 20th, 2023Guide for the first 3 days couldn’t be bothered with helping us. NO ACTIVITIES OR MEAL except for a trip to Fatima. We were not allowed to walk around or eat there. Instead they took us to a “tourist trap away from town. With only one choice of cafeteria food. Hotel was average with average breakfast. The staff were awesome and very helpful. I was transferred to 3 different groups, which I never experienced before.not fun. The host was really good on the middle leg. But, on the first day, we were left for over 4 hours in a dangerously high heat. We were basically stranded and every single member was upset. Then we were taken to a very low rated hotel in a bad area with no pool, or bar or or anything. There were not a single restaurant or bar or shops in the area or even a park, etc. Everything was closed except for a small store where we could buy necessities. Dinner was terrible and breakfast was average. Next hotel was a resort by the water with excellent food, dinner and breakfast. Made up for the last one. On the third leg of being moved yet to another group, we were driven from Granada to an average hotel in with no pool or amenities in Valencia and were left on our own in a city we’ve never been to and only had a few hours!!! There was no tour of Valencia at all. But the bus stopped for 10 minutes before dropping us off at a spot so we can take pictures. No dinner either. It was a total waste of a day. The tour leader was very good. I left the tour in the morning in Valencia. I couldn’t wait to get off the tour. I ended up feeling totally exhausted. Every morning we were rushed to wake up early, have breakfast, pack and be ready by 8 or 8:30 to leave. Only to sit on the bus for long hours. And make stops for bathroom and lunch. This NOT WHAT I CALL A VACATION. At every hotel, we were put on lower levels with hardly any views. I’m not traveling in this style agai.
