Onsen bathing, Japanese cuisine, "bullet" train, freewheel cycling 40+ mph downhill, Kyoto tower, Tokyo tower, night time pedestrian "scramble" crossing amidst Tokyo light show, Kyoto sightseeing by bike, cycling Noto peninsula Sojiji warrier Zen buddist temple and gardens, traditional Japanese ryoken guesthouses, but only if single occupancy, which fortunately we did have on this trip.cycling through some longggg tunnels, meal at Toyoto Shirakawa GoEco institute, where we complimented the chef for his delicious food, final ride and visit to Shirkawa village-go, and Gokayama, river cruise and walk through Hama-rikuy gardens. So many wonderful memories and experiences of meeting very friendly Japanese people in country and city areas.

The last day of cycling was particularly beautiful compared with what had come before. I loved the immersion into Japanese culture with the food, onsens and wearing yukatas to dinner!

Trip notes could better reflect the trip - they have limited detail. Cycling is probably more to the experienced cyclist.

It was a very interesting trip, well organised, 4 hotels and very interesting food. We tired lots of different things to eat - but - raw fish for breakfast was a challenge!
