Trip date: December 2024- VLVasco· January 29th, 2024All activities are great, but the description is misleading and not transparent. Also, the driver barely speaks English. Anyone reading the description gets a feel that all activities are included, stating that only optional programs were not included. Well, according to the description, nothing is optional (so everything must be included, right?). However, on my first day, I was given a printed version clearly stating that entrance fees for all attractions were excluded (as high as $400 if participating in all of them). This is not in TourRadar’s description and is misleading. Besides, a few days before the start of the tour, I was told I had to pay $354 more for a private tour since I was alone. They should have told me that before I paid the $820. The tour would be canceled if I didn’t upgrade. “Experienced, English-speaking tour leader”? Not true. He barely speaks English, and we had to rely on Google Translator many times. Anything more complicated than “yes” or “no” was challenging. “Tour leader”? Not true. He barely spoke at all, besides pointing to a river, saying “river,” and other examples like that. A real tour leader or guide talks about the cultural aspects of the places we see during the journey. That was non-existent. During the tour, I saw many other tourist groups with guides who spoke as vividly as a real guide does. He’s not a tour guide; he’s just a tour driver (a good one, though). However, I don’t have anything to complain about him on a personal level. He’s a very good driver, always on time, helped me find the fruit I wanted, and dealt with local people. He was a very nice person. But not a guide, just a driver. I paid over $1500 (excluding meals) for something that doesn't live up to the price. Besides, on my last “included” dinner, I was surprised at the check-out with a bill to pay, as the drink was not included, as opposed to the other included dinners. Why was this different? I should have been warned about this, but I wasn’t. Again, lack of transparency.
