It was well planned and well executed, offering an interesting mix of historical and contemporary points of interest in Turkey. The pacing of the tour was excellent, interspersing visits to historical sites with those relevant to modern Turkish industry including carpet, pottery, textile, jewellery and leather wear production. The food, lodging and transportation provided were good and comfortable Our guide, Ali was superb. His knowledge of the history and culture of the civilizations that have inhabited the area was encyclopedic. He was able to provide context.that greatly amplified the understanding g of the importance of the many sites visited. It was well planned even tho some aspects needed flexibility and careful replanting. Everything bar the balloon flight happened. Lots of travelling in thr minibus.
