- JJBtimes· September 9th, 2019Bamboo Ecotours were really great to deal with. Edison was prompt in answering emails and queries. The trip worked out perfectly and met our expectations without exception. We were able to fit everything into a tight schedule. Our guides Joseph and Herbert were very well organised and made sure we had a good time and were always safe and well looked after. The gorilla trek itself was real highlight and was very well coordinated. It only took one hour to get to the spot where our designated family group appeared to be waiting for us to arrive. We were amazed to find the gorillas sitting around going about their daily business and not bothered by our presence. The thrill of being so close to these wonderful creatures and sensing how comfortable they were was truly beautiful. To know that they were not threatened by us, was the most rewarding experience. We were able to observe them for more than an hour and of course took plenty of great photos and videos of the silver backs, mothers, juveniles and a couple of adorable babies. We also hired (our own expense) a porter to assist with our bags and getting us up and down the muddy mountainside. This was agreed to be very worthwhile. During our four-day tour we also travelled through three other parks and saw a variety of wildlife up close. We got to see nearly all of the creatures mentioned in our itinerary. The accommodation booked by Bamboo Ecotours was of a very high standard and did not disappoint. The guides were very punctual and thorough in their organisation of our tour and we felt we received great value for money. I would highly recommend Bamboo Ecotours to anyone wanting to make a similar trek through Uganda and/or Rwanda.Show moreTrip date: August 2019
- PMPaola· June 8th, 2019I did the 4 days gorilla tour which since the beginning I knew it would be perfect Edinson organized the perfect tour for me and he always was very responsive to all my questions and queries. Once in Rwanda Fred and Joseph were waiting for me at the airport and the most amazing trip started, all the activities, the accommodations, the food were incredible. The first day I visited a Baatwa comunity which is an optional activity and I highly recommend to do I thought the gorilla trekking would be the highlight of my trip but the batwaa people won the first place. Second day gorilla trekking - the day before was raining very heavy so the trekking was really hard but completely worth it i could see a gorila family very close and have one hour to take all the most beautiful pictures and enjoy just watching them, in the afternoon back in the hotel i did canoeing in mutanda lake which is another optional activity highly recommended watching the sunset and hear the birds and nature was incredible peaceful and breathtaking. Day three Queen Elizabeth National Park and climbing lions everybody had told me that was very difficult to find them and the odds to get to see them were almost cero but i had the best guide and the best driver so of course I saw them!!! And not only one we found three lions in one tree!! We also saw elephants buffalos water backs different kinds of monkeys and antilopes and even in the lodge we spot hippos and waterbacks Day four chimps trekking and good bye In our way to the chimpanzee Joseph with his awesome sense to find animals spot 3 elephants and buffalos and Fred took us very very close them, having a driver and a guide is the best because African roads are very tough and Fred always managed to take us safe to every place while Joseph was concentrated to find animals and tell me all about every animal we see. I love Africa and everything about it the people is so nice for sure Uganda is a place where I want to come back thank you so much Bamboo Ecotours for doing my Uganda experience unforgettable!!Show moreTrip date: June 2019
