    We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with our two guides Joanne and Alan (with one L), Joanne covering Taipei and Alan the island tour. Both guides were knowledgeable and kept us busy and entertained making any changes as our needs required, thank you both. On the whole the accommodation was entirely satisfactory and the length of the tour sufficient. We opted to stay on in Taipei for a couple of extra nights in Taipei to give us time to explore at our leisure which worked out well, in particular a visit to the National museum was had not been included on the agenda. We both found Taiwan very interesting and a bit of an eye opener. Its a lovely clean and efficient island with very polite people and I would love to make a return visit.

    For someone new to Taiwan, without a tour guide on the arriving day at the island, one day metro pass given by the local tour agency in an envelope passed to our room via the hotel is of no use. The pass was valid only for that day. I believe the cost of the metro pass was included in our booking fee, but I did not know how to use it and where to go without it. I thought the trip was group touring in a bus when booking the trip. It ended up to be a private guiding tour for my husband and me. The local tour guide spoke English well and took good care of us and tailored the daily agenda to our needs.

    An amazing well thought out itinerary. Amazing tour guides and got some free days in there to explore separately also. Absolutely recommend, just wish we got more time in Osaka at the end.

Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
    • Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before June 29th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 29th, 2025, a minimum payment of $450 is required to confirm your booking with MW Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and MW Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
