- BBBarry· December 23rd, 2019Myself and my father did the Nar-Phu valley trek with Uma Holidays and we had an absolutely amazing time, the second half of the valley was stunning and well worth the detour. Ram Barakoti was our guide for the 19 days and we we’re lucky to have him. A couple of days into the trek my dad realized it was a bit more difficult than he anticipated, Ram Barakoti was quick to organize alternative transportation for him as well as modifying our itinerary to have shorter walking days and making sure he could enjoy the trek at his own pace, without missing out on anything. Going over Thorong La Ram organized a horse to help my father up to the top and even helped him with his bags. He was an absolute professional, always making sure we were well looked after, weather it was food, extra blankets you name it our comfort and enjoyment was his top priority. - LBLoulou· December 23rd, 2019I went on the Nar- Phu valley trek with my son in November. I’m 59 years old and it was my first time in Nepal, my sons second. We came here to spend some time together and enjoy the scenery and trek around Annapurna and the Nar-Phu valley. Our guide’s name was Ram Barakoti and he was great company. He looked after us extremely well, explained all the different areas we went through and taught me a lot about Nepalese culture and always included me in local conversations. He was a great help with managing our itinerary- a couple of days into the trek I was finding the distances a bit hard and he was able to shorten our walking time without me or my son missing out on anything. He was always ready to provide different transportation options for me when I got tired, sometimes these were jeeps where there was a road or a horse where there wasn’t, so I could get to our destination without slowing my son and himself down.
