- ASHERRY RATZ· October 17th, 2024Our Mainland Guide, Carlos and our Galapagos Guide Marlon Veliz were absolutely EXCELLENT! Take less time for lunch. No need for a 3 course meal. Soup & sandwich options. Spend this extra time getting to the hotel & next destination earlier than 6 pm. Let participants choose when they want to dine. Some of our group wanted 8:00 dinners every night while we would have preferred 6:30 dinners. Fantastic itinerary! The only visit I would delete is the visit to the former train station. Since we had a teenager he did not like lots of the food and we had get the guide to add selections for him. The food was excellent just on the bland side. The only huge complain was Avianca airlines, if I have to use it would be on an emergency.The seats felt like a was sitting at a park bench, very uncomfortable.The gouging on the food was great( a Maruchan noodle was $4.25,at Costco you can buy 24 pack for about $ 5.No and I mean NO coffee,tea or water available( only if you payed for it).
