The pacing of the tour was excellent, interspersing visits to historical sites with those relevant to modern Turkish industry including carpet, pottery, textile, jewellery and leather wear production. The food, lodging and transportation provided were good and comfortable Our guide, Ali was superb. His knowledge of the history and culture of the civilizations that have inhabited the area was encyclopedic. He was able to provide context.that greatly amplified the understanding g of the importance of the many sites visited. He was always patient and affable and ably managed the logistics associated with the tour. all in all, a truly memorable trip.Show more
