- KGKatherine· July 11th, 2024This tour was badly disorganized from the start. 1. I was asked for my international flights to arrive for the tour. There we no precise details; only general information. I had to reach out for everything just to Prepare and coordinate my portion. The itinerary was uploaded on the website tour radar, but very difficult to find. Once reviewing the information, the details such as the tour guide, name of the tour guide company, transportation company and arrangements were very minimal. The first day we arrived at the airport, we were told we would be greeted by our transportation with signage. Well, no one was there. I had to call Alturka Tours and Everytime I asked for more information, I would be referred back to the itinerary, which did not answer my questions. The taxi driver called me directly to coordinate the pick- which I expected for that coordination to be done by the tour company. My contact information was given to others without letting me know who I would hear from. Again, I had to ask for this. We arrived at the hotel already quite late barely enough time to get something to eat. At that point, we asked about the tour details for the next day and were given the time again barely enough time for breakfast which starts at 0800 and tour guide supposed to arrive at 0820, quite a rush. Come to find out our tour days were switched without asking or informing us why. We were told we would arrive by yo the hotel around 1809-1830, when actually we arrived around 2240-2300, This was part of dropping people to their hotels. We realize this was not a private tour, but communication is vital, which was completely a lack of.. we decided at this point that the tour days were taking too long, not because of the actual itself but most of the time spent was shuttling people on and off considering the distances were already lengthy.Show more
