We made this choice because the price was competitive and thanks to the delighted feedback from friends who had done the experience earlier in the year. Before departure, contact was facilitated by Evariste, who was available on WhatsApp to do visios and answer all our questions. They were very flexible and adapted to our schedules. Once we arrived, we were picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel, where we met our guide Mwinyi, who briefed us and confirmed/rented out the necessary equipment. On the morning of our departure we met the entire team who welcomed us with the Kili Climbing Field, which ended in a dance contest. The first 4 days are dedicated to acclimatization, gradually climbing higher in altitude. The team's professionalism was de rigueur, with a daily health check. Along the way, our guides made the days interesting and fun. We talked about the country, the culture, the fauna and the local flora. We also listened to music, sang, danced and made jokes. Climbing to the summit was more difficult because the weather was against us, as blizzards are rare, but thanks to Mwinyi we made it. The team was incredibly attentive and generous. They were all there to give a smile, support, carry a bag, bring hot water,... We ate well, thanks to the chef who worked miracles, and slept well in our rather spacious, padded tents. If you're feeling adventurous, ask for Mwinyi as your guide. Over and above his professionalism, you'll have an extraordinary human adventure.
