  This 4-day tour gave us a great introduction to southern Laos. From the moment we arrived in Pakse, everything was taken care of smoothly. Wat Phou was stunning — we visited in the morning when it was quiet and had plenty of time to explore. Then heading down to the 4,000 Islands, we stayed on Khong Island, which was such a peaceful spot to unwind. The boat rides along the Mekong were calming, and we loved visiting small villages and waterfalls like Khon Phapheng. The local food, especially the grilled fish and sticky rice, was delicious. It was a perfect short getaway!

  I wasn’t sure what to expect from southern Laos, but this tour blew me away! The mix of history, nature, and culture was perfect. Wat Phou was fascinating, with its ancient Khmer ruins and peaceful atmosphere. The 4000 Islands were a dream—Don Khone was my favorite, with its relaxed vibe and scenic waterfalls. The trip to Khong Island was also great, offering a chance to see local village life and take in some amazing Mekong views. The pace was just right, with enough time to explore but also to relax and soak in the surroundings. This was my third trip to Laos, and I’m already planning to come back!

  This tour was a hidden gem! We had never heard much about southern Laos, but this trip completely surprised us. Wat Phou was fascinating—like a smaller, more peaceful Angkor Wat. The 4,000 Islands were incredibly scenic, and Don Khone had such a laid-back vibe. We loved cycling through the villages, stopping for fresh coconut water, and watching the sunset over the Mekong. The waterfall visit and dolphin spotting made it even more special! The guide was excellent, always making sure we were comfortable and sharing interesting stories about the region. If you're looking for a unique experience in Laos, this tour is a must!

  We were looking for a short but enriching trip in Laos, and this tour was exactly what we needed! Wat Phou was an absolute gem—the combination of Khmer architecture and the surrounding mountains made it feel almost magical. Our journey through the 4000 Islands was just as memorable. Don Khone and Khong Islands had a charming, off-the-beaten-path feel, with friendly locals and peaceful riverside views. We took a boat ride to see the Liphi Waterfall, which was spectacular, and then relaxed with fresh Lao coffee at a small café on the riverbank. The pace of the tour was perfect—not too rushed, yet we covered a lot in four days. I’d highly recommend this to history lovers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone wanting to experience the authentic beauty of southern Laos!

  We recently completed the 4-day Pakse Stopover Sightseeing Tour and couldn’t be happier with the experience! Wat Phou was a stunning start—the ancient ruins were mesmerizing, and the views from the hilltop were worth the climb. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining the history and significance of the site in such an engaging way. Don Khone was our favorite stop—exploring the island on a bicycle and seeing the old French railway bridge was such a unique experience. The visit to the waterfalls, especially Khone Phapheng Falls, was a highlight; the sheer power of the water was awe-inspiring. Khong Island was the perfect spot to unwind. We loved the slower pace, friendly locals, and beautiful sunsets over the Mekong River. The accommodations throughout the trip were comfortable, and everything was well-organized. Highly recommend this tour for a mix of culture, nature, and relaxation!

  A Must-Do Tour for Southern Laos. I loved every moment of this 4-day Pakse tour! Wat Phou was an incredible ancient site, and the views from the top were breathtaking. The peaceful atmosphere of Don Khone and the excitement of seeing waterfalls made the experience even more special. Khong Island was the perfect relaxing end to the tour, with a chance to see the famous dolphins. Highly recommended!

  From the moment we stepped out of Pakse airport, we were warmly greeted by our tour guide and our driver. Both of them are very knowledgeable, kind and funny. They were also very perceptive to our needs and sprayed the car with mosquito repellant. Our trip was tailored matching with our needs and we couldn't have been happier. The food was also excellent. Vietlong travel was great to work with excellent staffs. Highly recommended! Highlights: Stopover in Pakse will give us informative trip to Tadlo, Champasak, Wat Phou, Don Khong

  We only had 4 days in Myanmar with Vietlong Travel but they made it extraordinary. We went to Wat Phou, Don Khone, Khong Island, our tour guide-Kayce- is very humorous and caring. We felt very safe with our driver while going with him. Big thanks to VL team!
