Josefin· April 1st, 2024Really enjoyed it! Good boat, good food, great snorkelling and also the CEO helped me so I could do a dive instead of snorkelling one of the days which I really appreciate. Could skip the beach clean up, not that its not needed but after collecting several of bags with trash the bags where just left on the island. Just left us all with a bad feeling, first of all seeing all the trash and then collecting as much as we could, was so much left though, just to leave it on the island in the end 🤷♀️. BUT the tour was great!Show more

- LBLaura· November 2nd, 2018We have chosen a Dhoni Cruise but, after the first day, G Adventures changed the boat “upgrading” us in a bigger cruise boat. This boat has had few problems: in the bathrooms (blocked toilet, shower not working and so on) and my cabin full of bugs. The boat didn’t have any snorkeling equipment and I had to use the staff’s one. The boat wasn’t provided with sufficient alcohol beverages and the generator was working all night long creating an annoying sound. I want to point out that crew and staff have been super efficient and helpful. Regarding the planning of the cruise, it has been asked to arrive in airport not later than 10.30, so we did. Nevertheless we lost the first day because G Adventures booked the trip for 2 customers flying from Colombo with the arrival in Male scheduled at 2.30 pm and they reached the boat after 4.00 pm. - MMmarta· April 14th, 2018I loved the trip. I would totally recommend it. And Tourradar service is really great: clear information and amazing customer service. Crew, food, boat and overall experience was great. Its a relaxed and chilled trip. Would have been good to know in advance that this tour in NOT island hopping. You actually barely stop on islands. The tours is mostly sailing and snorkeling everyday. There are only a couple of stops on sandbanks (so not islands but just a few minutes on a piece of sand) and 2 stops in local islands (which are really poor and dirty). There is barely no beach time, which is fine if you love sailing and snorkeling. The food quality and portions was really impressive. The crew was very nice, hardworking and available all the time. Only thing is that only the CEO spoke English but not the rest, so really hard to interact with the rest of the crew.Show moreTrip date: April 2018
- MMarie· March 13th, 2018Not all "dhonni" are created equal. At least I hope not. Our room had no ventilation so we left the door open. The AC didn't work for several nights. When it did it was turned on from roughly 6pm to 6 am. After repeated complaints we finally got a working fan. Metal in bathroom area was rusted through. I was glad I had my tetanus shot when I slipped on the floor and my toe went through the metal. Our guide slept a lot so much so that we joked about it. He showed himself briefly when not going on excursions. He never introduced the crew. On the last night, the owner of the boat came on board and openly smoked pot. Oh yes, full ashtrays were inside the common areas. Without the open windows and doors, it would have been unbearable for a non-smoker. The crew on the hand was great and we relied on them. The cook was excellent producing great food in a small galley. Based on this experience I would not recommend this trip. Maybe other hired boats are better....let's hope so.Show more
