  Safe, Seamless and spectacular I recently completed the 7-day Lemosho Route hike to Mount Kilimanjaro, and the experience far exceeded my expectations—especially in terms of safety, professionalism, and overall organization. From the moment we began the trek, the crew’s attention to safety was clear. Our guides were exceptionally well-trained and experienced, conducting daily health checks that included monitoring oxygen levels and asking detailed questions about how we felt. They were incredibly proactive in spotting early signs of altitude sickness and adjusted the pace and rest stops accordingly. This gave our entire group the confidence and peace of mind to fully enjoy the journey. The Lemosho Route itself is both beautiful and well-paced for acclimatization.   I recently completed the 7-day Machame Route hike to Mount Kilimanjaro with Kilisa Tours & Safaris, and it was truly the adventure of a lifetime. From beginning to end, the trek was exceptionally well-organized. The guides demonstrated deep knowledge, patience, and unwavering support—particularly during the summit ascent, where their encouragement and steady pacing proved invaluable. They maintained a consistent "pole pole" (slowly, slowly) rhythm and continuously checked in to ensure we were acclimatizing properly and feeling well. The Machame Route itself offers breathtaking diversity. Each day revealed new landscapes—from the lush rainforest on day one to the dramatic Shira Plateau, the exhilarating Barranco Wall, and the stark beauty of the alpine desert approaching Barafu Camp. The route’s acclimatization profile is excellent, and I am confident it contributed significantly to our group’s high summit success rate. The support crew—porters, cooks, and camp staff—exceeded expectations. We were warmly welcomed at each camp with hot meals and comfortable resting areas. The quality of the food was remarkable for a mountain expedition—nutritious, hearty, and far above what I had anticipated. Reaching Uhuru Peak was both emotional and exhilarating. Witnessing the sunrise from the Roof of Africa was a deeply rewarding moment and one of the proudest accomplishments of my life.   I recently had the incredible opportunity to trek Mount Kilimanjaro with Kilisa Tours & Safari, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. Here's a breakdown of the key aspects that made this adventure so amazing: GearS provided by Kilisa Tours & Safari was top-notch! The tents, sleeping bags, and other trekking equipment were in excellent condition. They made sure everything was well-fitted and comfortable, ensuring that we were fully prepared for the trek. I especially appreciated the attention to detail, as all equipment was thoroughly checked before the journey began. food served was outstanding! Despite being in such remote conditions, the meals were always fresh, delicious, and nutritious. There was a good variety of meals to keep us energized throughout the trek. The crew also made sure to cater to our dietary preferences, which was greatly appreciated. Hot, flavorful meals after a long day of trekking were the highlight of each evening. Mountain crew, including porters and cooks, were absolutely fantastic. They were incredibly friendly, always ready with a smile, and worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we needed.
