If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience on Kilimanjaro, look no further than John Adventures. His professionalism, deep knowledge of the mountains and wildlife, and warm, welcoming personality make him one of the best guides in Tanzania. From day one, John’s expertise was evident. On our Kilimanjaro trek, he was not only well-versed in the mountain routes, weather patterns, and altitude acclimatization strategies, but also incredibly attentive to the needs of every member of the group. He paced the climb perfectly, always monitoring our health and ensuring we were both safe and motivated. His encouraging words – “pole pole” – helped us reach the summit with confidence and a sense of team spirit. What sets John apart is his genuine care for his guests and his team. He leads with humility, kindness, and a calm, confident energy that puts everyone at ease. By the end of our trip, he didn’t feel like just a guide – he felt like a friend. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a once-in-a-lifetime adventure in Tanzania. John is the guide you want by your side.

If you should choose John as your guide to the top of Kilimanjaro? Please read my story and judge yourself! John is one of a kind, his goal is to get you to the top safely and back! John is as a guide a known member of the porter community on Kilimanjaro and lots of the porters call John out as they pass him up the mountain. John a.k.a. Rasta has been on this mountain many years and lots of people know him for it. He knows the mountain like his own backyard, maybe since he is born and raised in Moshi. He will take you to the best places on the mountain, not just the hidden spots that nobody knows of to get connection but also places where you have stunning views. And once at one of those places, John will ask for your camera so that even the people at home can see you with this amazing view. On the mountain John and his team go through the uttermost effort to make sure your climb to the top is as comfortable as possible. When on the third day on the way from lava tower to Baranco camp the mountain unleashed one of its heavy rains and most of my clothes where soaked, John and his team spent all day to dry my clothes and provided me with extra clothes that where needed. When we had our summit push John helps you to the top however he can, to be on the roof of Africa is truly amazing. After the summit John still takes good care of you to get you down safe, one of my mistakes was not drinking enough water after my summit which resulted in altitude sickness. Even then John was quick to handle and brought me down safely, his service didn’t stop and he checked in multiple times to see how I was doing! John is an amazing person and the right choice for a guide on Kilimanjaro in my opinion.

Climb Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route with John Adventure: A Review Embarking on the Lemosho route to summit Mount Kilimanjaro is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and John Adventure provides an exceptional service to make this journey both memorable and enjoyable. Here's a detailed review based on the experience of climbing Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route over 8 days with John Adventure: Preparation and Booking: The booking process with John Adventure was straightforward and user-friendly. Their team was responsive, providing comprehensive information about the trek, gear recommendations, and preparation tips. It was evident that they prioritize ensuring climbers are well-informed and ready for the adventure. Itinerary and Route: The Lemosho route is known for its stunning scenic views and favorable acclimatization profile. Over the 8 days, we trekked through diverse ecosystems, from lush rainforests to alpine deserts. John Adventure’s detailed itinerary allowed ample time for acclimatization, which was crucial in reducing altitude sickness risks. Our guides adjusted the pace based on the group’s needs, which kept morale high and ensured everyone could complete the trek. Guides and Support Staff: Our lead guide was knowledgeable, experienced, and genuinely passionate about helping climbers succeed. The entire team, including porters and cooks, was professional and friendly. They worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort and safety throughout the trek. The camaraderie they fostered made the journey even more enjoyable, creating a supportive environment. Accommodation and Meals: Throughout the trek, we camped in clean and well-maintained tents. The camping equipment provided by John Adventure was of high quality, which added to our comfort. Meals were a highlight—delicious and nutritious, with plenty of variety. The chefs went above and beyond, preparing meals that catered to dietary preferences, ensuring we had enough energy for each day’s climb. Summit Night: The summit attempt on Uhuru Peak was exhilarating and challenging. The early morning ascent was tough but well worth it, and the guidance from the team made it manageable. Standing at the roof of Africa, as the sun rose, was an unforgettable reward for our efforts. **Overall Experience:** Climbing Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route with John Adventure was incredible. The combination of breathtaking landscapes, a supportive team, and well-organized logistics created a seamless experience. I would highly recommend John Adventure to anyone looking to tackle Kilimanjaro. They truly care about their clients’ experiences, safety, and success—and it shows in every aspect of their service. Rating: 5/5 – If you're considering a trek to Kilimanjaro, look no further than John Adventure!
