- CFchris· March 18th, 2025Exciting Africa Holidays; 3.0 Itinerary: Kenya 4.0; Tanzania 2.0 (terrible guide, would not honor original itinerary, poor English, a very bad attitude, no customer service). Guide: Kenya 4.0 (Richard), it was a pleasure, one of the best guides I ever had. Tanzania 1.0 (we were in a constant state of stress/anger/helplessness/frustration/confusion, scared and felt unsafe) Transport: Kenya 2.5, Tanzania 1.0.Land Cruisers: looked nothing like the newer Land Cruisers in the picture on the web site. Accommodation: 4.0, Albert did a very good job selecting the accommodations. Food; average 2.5 Extension: Baobab Beach Resort - Diani; 5 days, 4night. It was a perfect extension, thanks Albert for your recommendation.Show moreTrip date: January 2025

- EREsther· November 28th, 2023Go to Kenya and Tanzania, but DO NOT go with Albert's company because you will be in a constant state of stress/anger/helplessness. Albert and I agreed upon an itinerary with specific accomodations, but Albert constantly changed the itinerary throughout the trip, without providing me any notice. And, he failed to give me complete information at the time I booked, and throughout the 13 day trip. So, I had absolutely no idea, day to day, where I would be staying, or what I would be doing. I signed up for a 13 day "wildlife photography" safari, with luxury accommodations. I assumed that I would be on a tour with other folks who were on an identical itinerary, and we all would be staying at the same resort, along with our guide. Instead, throughout out the trip, there was a rotating cast of travelers and guides, staying at 3 different accommodation levels--budget, comfort, and luxury. As it turned out I was the only luxury traveler, which made things complicated for me, and for the rest of the group. We spent considerable time each day, doing 3 different pick ups and drop offs, which required us to start early (leaving at 6 am, rising at 5 am so we could eat breakfast first), spend 1-2 hours picking up from the other 2 sites, and not actually starting the game drive until 9:00 am. The same routine for the drop off, so that if you were the 3rd drop off, you would arrive at your accommodations after dark, unpack, eat dinner, and then go to sleep, with little free time, so you could do it all again the following day. So much precious time was wasted because Albert combined travelers who were staying at accommodations that were far apart. And, because some travelers were doing a portion of the trip, I had 5 different sets of guests and tour guides on my trip. And, most frustrating, Albert cannot run trips in Tanzania, which I did not learn until I was dropped at the border, alone, to make the transfer from Kenya to Tanzania, on my own, without any tour guide, or assistance. Instead, I was put on a public shuttle, with only locals, no other tourists, and had to trust that I would eventually get to where I was supposed to be. But, it never worked out that way, because Albert had no control over the Tanzania portion of the trip, as I was farmed out to a Tanzania tour agency, and Albert provided me no direct contact information for the Tanzania company. Albert often ignored my texts, so I was stranded, and had no way to reach anyone. When I asked to speak with the owner of the Tanzania tour company, he refused to speak with me, and said I had to talk with Albert, who, was unreachable. The itinerary constantly changed, and sometimes the accommodations I paid for were substituted with an inferior one, with no notice or communication from Albert. If I knew then what I know now, I would have booked directly with a Tanzanian tour agency for the Tanzania portion. That way, I would have had a direct contact in Tanzania. There is no reason to book through a Kenyan company for Tanzania, since they assign you to some random tour company, with which you have no relationship, or control. Bottom line, Albert lied to me, left me stranded, and left me in a state of constant anger and frustration.Show moreExciting Africa Holidays commented on this reviewMany thanks Esther for your review, We are so concerned about you joining different groups while on this safari due to your flight delay. We thank all the team for working tirelessly to make the tour complete. No national park was left uncovered as per...
