Tracey· February 24th, 2023The trip to Kenya and Uganda has been removed from sale after my complaint. We were over charged on more than one occasion, for hotel accommodation on pre departure tour. $50 each per night for a run down hotel that actually describes itself as a budget hotel. On looking on all other hotel website later, found the rooms are half the price. The response on our complaint to customer service tells us we must take this up with the hotel in Nairobi ? Why, On the go Tours were our agent, they gave us all the prices ! We paid what we were told to pay ,believing obviously that the hotels room prices were this price !! Also we were overcharged for a jeep for a day excursion . Aproxx $200 we were informed by On the Go Tours,whilst in the UK but on the day in Africa we were charged $420 . How is a 110% increase in anyway an 'approximate ' price ? The guide also failed to collect us on time after a tour.. All of us kept waiting in scorching temperatures with no shade for an hour. Just dreadful .Customer service response to this complaint after the holiday was ,Sorry the driver was ""flustered "" Great excuse eh !! Another guide trying to tell us that upgrades during the trip from tents to rooms were higher than they actually were ! Where was that extra money going if I hadn't if challenged her. A misunderstanding she said afterwards and that we could now pay the lower price . So since my complaint and the only response from the office has been " sorry there were certain elements of the trip that were not to our expectations " Great eh . So the next step is the courts, as On the Go won't do anything about it .. oh sorry, a 5% discount on our next booking . That's a joke. Everyone as a x 2nd time traveller gets 5% discount. I know as I was a 2nd time traveller ! I won't be a 3rd time one that is for sure .But they have actually made the trip unbookable following my complaint, up to end June ,and then completey removed it from their website from July onwards . Why you may ask, if everything written on their trip documentation was true and all above board ? Very dodgy yes. So anyone thinking of booking with On the Go Tours, please save yourself a lot of hassle. Just book with another company if you want a stress free holiday and knowing what it will cost you . Asked on February 15th, 2024Is it possible to upgrade the camp to a different one? Can you please advise how the inside of the camp looks (washroom, shower, electricity) with pictures if possible? Can you please confirm if the internal flight is included?

The Economy flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania - max. luggage allowance 15kgs is included.

Traveler•Written February 2024Could you recommend camps/lodging a little more upscale. There seems to be too many mid range and standard properties. In addition there seem to be a lot of one night stays. By the time you drive 3-4 hours to next camp for one night/ not so sure about that.
