What is the difference between tea-house trekking and camping trekking tours in Nepal?

In Nepal, generally, you can do two types of trekking by staying in tea-houses or camping. In the tea-houses trekking tours, you will do the trekking by resting the night at the lodges or the tea houses at different places on the trekking trails. On the other hand, camping trekking tours will be trekking by resting the night at camps, the camps can be set up at the different parts of the trekking trails for the convenience of the group.

My husband and I just completed the 8-day Langtang Valley trek! We were guided by the amazing expert Ramesh, and our superman porter (and skillful jeep driver) Suresh. We had such a great time and are feeling very accomplished. We feel fortunate to have had these fellows with us as they made the trip so much more fun and interesting. They were patient, funny and never seemed annoyed at my very slow rate of both ascent and descent. Ramesh guided my husband Kevin up tsergo ri at an early hour while Suresh showed me around Kenjin Gompa and the yak cheese factory, and helped me while I had some mild altitude sickness. I felt like we were traveling with pals rather than hired hands. The trek itself was amazing. We had perfect weather and made excellent time despite my slowness! We ended up finishing a day early, and so on Ramesh’s suggestion we headed to Chisopani so we could ring in the new year with a mountain sunrise. It ended up being cold and cloudy, but keeping warm at the campfire talking with the guys was one of my most memorable moments of the trip. With Nepal Eco Adventure, you are well taken care of and you will have such a great experience!

For tours departing after June 24th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Nepal Eco Adventure Pvt.Ltd. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
